I thought other teams fans hated us because the Rangers signed a lot of free-agents yet still played like crap, because we were perceived to have driven up the salary prices in the league, and because there is at times a general mistrust of New Yorkers.

I didn't think our fans had a bad name because of something one guy said that is rarely said.
There is no one reason why a fanbase gets a reputation. This is one of many.

I laughed when people said we wouldn't miss him. Hunwick is average and Boyle is a mess. Lets be honest we aren't playing the 2009 penguins and those two guys are still having a myriad of problems

Each game without Klein makes me wish even harder that he gets strength back in his hand. That will come, but I wonder when it will be good enough. Have to wait for that. Patience can be so hard.

Edit: hand/arm/appendage/limb whatever

4/19/15 | 5:30PM:*Klein traveled with the team to Pittsburgh but won’t play in game three. (Zipay)

*****ing kidding me?

Which, by the incontrovertible laws of logic, means that he'll be playing in game four. Unless they want him hanging around with the boys and like to waste airfare.

There meals are probably free anyway, and what gas. They stay in the hotel prob close to the arena. They are not wasting any money on Klein being there. Just hope he is back for game 4

“@AGrossRecord: Kevin Klein on the ice for full Rangers' morning skate. First time in full practice with teammates since breaking left arm on March 11.”

in the perfect world Klein and Shep in and any two of these liabilities out (Boyle, Hunwick, MSL, Glass). Of those 4 i would say Hunwick is the least of our worries

After game 1, AV admitted that Boyle had a bad game, but was confident in him. Check out the Defensive TOI for our D guys in Game 2. It's clear who AV considers a liability:

26:26 McD
23:01 Boyle
20:20 Giradi
17:51 Staal
16:45 Yandle (but had to leave game for awhile)
11:24 Hunwick

This shows me that AV has little faith in Hunwick and may consider him a liability; while he feels that Boyle is a "Go-To" D guy. Boyle was pretty much responsible for letting Hornqvist shoot up between him & MSL for the Crosby rebound goal in Game 2, but I don't think AV is going to change. Boyle will continue to get big minutes and little faith will be put in Hunwick. Hunwick gets low ice-time every game.

If he waits a few more days, he may have all summer to get to 100%

Boyle and Hunwick are getting almost identical ES minutes. Boyle gets PP and PK time. PIT took a ton of penalties. That's where the big discrepancy in ice time is coming from.
