Need cap space for what? The difference between 30-50% is like 1.5m. That’s a negligible difference for the Flyers immediate goals.

Doesn’t he have three years left on his contract? I’m thinking that 1.5 million in savings for the next three years is worth more than going from a fifth round pick to a third or fourth round pick.
