Imagine if Dubas traded Nylander 2 years ago at 22 for a D worse than Brodie? Many wanted that.
Who are the many that wanted to trade him for a worse Defenseman?Imagine if Dubas traded Nylander 2 years ago at 22 for a D worse than Brodie? Many wanted that.
Who are the many that wanted to trade him for a worse Defenseman?
You seem to have a vivid imagination
It’s going to be a flat cap for 4 years probably, I think the payers should play for 50/50 this year instead of kicking can down the road, so cap has a chance to increase sooner. With flat cap how does Reilly and new goalie get paid.
A lot of that was media driven. Remember the Montour stuff?Who are the many that wanted to trade him for a worse Defenseman?
You seem to have a vivid imagination
Yeah, what an awful trade that would have been. I recall Pierre Lebrunn saying Florida would never move Matheson for Nylander. ROTFL.A lot of that was media driven. Remember the Montour stuff?
Reading comprehension, disengage.Spin cycle engage
Imagine a year later. Dubas gets the D he wanted in Brodie, that Kadri blocked. Ya, Dubas got his guy and used a stop gap plug in the meantime, and got a better 3C than Jankowski. But with zero knowledge, or evidence, you assume somehow, there were better offers, that somehow never came public. Hmm. How about just no. Nice fantasy to justify continuing to complain. Enjoy it.
You didn’t answer the question.THe names mentioned were bad. Thankfully Dubas knows more than his critics.
Remember how Pesce was branded some stud D we could get on hands on? Yikes.
No idea. Never understood why people follow media only to complain about what they say.A lot of that was media driven. Remember the Montour stuff?
You didn’t answer the question.
It does seem the media was correct with the Montour rumour. No idea. Never understood why people follow media only to complain about what they say.
I can't really think of a player whom i "dislike." I would like upgrades at positions, but so would management. Thems the breaks in a cap world. You can't always get what you want. But you just might find, you get what you need. I support every player on this team. Strange that i'm no longer considered a "true fan."I think it would be impossible if you’re truly a fan of the team.

Yeah, all those players still playing juniors from 2018 onwards must be busts. Oh wait....no, crazily enough, they were still playing out their junior careers.Other than the no-brainer Matty and the promising Rodion, Robbie and Sandman our drafting is why we have not been able to take the next step.

I seem to recall the name Parayko and possibly Petro mentioned along with Pesce, Montour, and Manson. Good luck getting Parayko out of STL now.
Hunter took Korshkov in stead of Carter Hart Matthews draft year. That was a joke. Hart was a no brainer and likely should have been a first round pick.we had #31 and Philly scooped him 48th wow. What was the rumour? It does seem the media was correct with the Montour rumour.
Yeah because they made the stunning move of acquiring Faulk and then could not afford AP.
I only heard Paryko this year myself and that was only if they signed AP.
You realize it’s people like you that the media is speaking to?I did. Montour, Pesce. The DMen named weren't even good. I never saw anyone suggest actual god DMen we would not be able to obtain in other ways.
That's the theme here. Rush to move our early 20's talent. And when those trades would blow up in the Leafs faces those same people would crap on Dubas.
The amount Brett Pesce got overrated the second he was linked to Nylander by Pierre Lebrun was quite a riot. The guy can't hold Brodie's jock strap. And we got him as a UFA.
