Good to hear. Confirms what most here believe to be true.indication i get from swedish media is that karlsson wants to stay in ottawa

Seems like an optimistic return given that we cant get heiskanen now. How would we get 3 top team prospects and 2 firsts at the deadline? I would like that though.Hmm, negotiating tactics? Wonder if Karlsson might be thrilled to play with Dahlin in Buffalo? Trade value at deadline for Karlsson in the style of:
firstrounder in 2019, firstrounder in 2020, secondrounder, thirdrounder plus three top team prospects? (assuminging future contract can be decided upon)
EK will re-sign, but he is going to rip the league apart this season and remind the fans & GM's of a number of teams how stupid they were for the garbage returns they proposed.Seems like an optimistic return given that we cant get heiskanen now. Our apparent lowball offer was nearly double this figure.
It was nearly $12.5 million? Nearly as in it was 9? or nearly as in 12?
Also, source?

Our alledged offer was 8 years 80 million. It was nearly $12.5 million? Nearly as in it was 9? or nearly as in 12?

it's been reported in print media and discussed on 1200 that it was a bit north of that but no figures were quotedOur alledged offer was 8 years 80 million.
Closer to 11 Million .. insufficient bonus $ according to CJ StevensonOur alledged offer was 8 years 80 million.
NHL Rumors: Erik Karlsson, William Karlsson, William Nylander, MoreA report by Chris Stevenson of The Athletic suggests the reason Erik Karlsson rejected the Ottawa Senators’ eight-year contract offer was the lack of signing bonuses so prevalent in new NHL deals. Stevenson notes that while the actual offer was quite close to the Drew Doughty deal, the signing-bonus money was not anywhere near Doughty’s and newly signed John Tavares. The $11 million per year was there but not up front.

Sabres boards don't think this hefty return would land them Karlsson... If resigning Karlsson was already a done deal the Heiskanen for Karlsson trade might look different.
SOMETIMES that firstround pick is what a whole organization will put their trust in...
Myself I would gladly give three firstrounders for Heiskanen.
If Karlsson says "hey, I will not re-sign with you if you trade for me" his trade value is less than if he promise to sign. This kind of deal probably require bug sweepers and all. So, any rumours should be seen as not very reliable.
Okay so my point has stronger footing then lol.it's been reported in print media and discussed on 1200 that it was a bit north of that but no figures were quoted
I can't read Swedish but according to translation software.. Claesson guesses Karlsson will be gone, although he hopes not.. Not much new info on anything .. refers to the Hoffman/Karlsson clash which indicates happened at the end of last year .
