Was planning on rooting for Ottawa going forward anyway because of the Andersons, but this helped. Only thing I fear is they win and the copycat NHL every team plays a 1-3-1 next year.

It took them 27 overtime periods to beat a non-contender that was missing 4 of its top 6 Dmen and #1 scoring center. Pretty much zero chance Ottawa wins the cup.

I think a lot of it stems from the infamous hit on Pacioretty in 2011. It was a good hockey play, and a terrible accident, but good luck getting other people to see that.

I think out of the dross that is left, Sens are probably among the teams I'll root for. Nashville and the Sens.

He was getting booed way before that. It's because he was one of the best players in the league in his prime, happens in every barn.

Karlsson is great, swear to god commentary alone can make you hate anyone by the time a series is over. It's not his fault they have to go over the top about someone every series.

He made the Bruins top offensive players look foolish all series long.. apparently even with a broken foot!

I can't think of a particular incident, just incremental stuff that builds up when a player has been in the same division for as long as Phaneuf has. Also, appreciate how classy you're being about all this.

Yeah. he's definitely the wrong guy to boo for any reason. There's so much to love about his game and the way he carries himself on and off the ice. Fantastic player.
