Will be interesting to see what kind of contract he gets. Maybe that's why they aren't playing him on the PP lol.

38 in 58 isn't actually terrible for an AHL rookie, Pacioretty for example wasn't an NHL regular and had 11 points in 18 games in the AHL in his D+3 season.

Not too mention McCarron had 13 goals and 11 assists in the first 28 AHL games then got called up, sent down, and told he wasn't going to be an offensive player in the NHL. So he was very much trending well in his D+3 season until they started to screw with him.

Well i am still dubious about McCarron ultimate potential, and he is having in my opinion a career at the height of his skillset after all. But yes, Lefebvre has done a lot of damage and has certainly not helped.

Doesn't make the TSN top 50 u24 assets lmao.

How can a guy this good be this underrated ? Aside from him not producing because he gets the heavy defensive draws. Jesus people are clueless. There's like 1 or 2 Dman Id trade Guhle straight up for in the NHL right now, let alone u24 ones.

If fewer external accolades softens the contract premium his agent is able to negotiate on his next deal, go tsn go!

If this is Button's list, then Button went on TSN last week and said it was an egregious mistake on his part, he can't believe he did it, he was very sorry, and that Guhle would have placed top-20.

Really lol ? I bet it was the first game he watched of Guhle and he realized he's foolish.

But no it wasn't.

Craig Button is one of the worst analysts in hockey in my opinion. He's a mix of general consensus and egregiously bad takes, which have no foundation. His takes are mostly just crap he made up because he needs something to say on air to fill time, and have very little logic or thought behind them, let alone actual insider Information.

I honestly can't believe the idiots on TSN give him so much credit and people actually think his opinion means something. He's a moron, who got jobs in hockey through nepotism.

The thing that impresses me so much about guhle is he is always a step ahead. He reads the play so well and while you need players who set the tone and push the pace etc guhles somewhat reactionary approach is really helpful in covering for mistakes in the ozone and helping to prolong possession. He picks his moments really well and frankly idk what we're waiting for to put him on the powerplay. He simply makes the right play a large majority of the time. Combine that with his mobility and he's going to be an absolute lock on our top pairing

Martin Saint Louis has the smart man syndrome I guess. This and Ylonen is just inexcusable.

He made the Wild lose their shit with this hit and the Habs scored on the PP. They ended the period with like 3 shots and a penalty, Suzuki scored early in the 3rd.

That hit on Kaprizov was a thing of beauty, and I think he let up on Rossi.

Bergevin has a lot of faults but I one thing I agreed with him on was having a big defense corps that could punish the other team. I think HuGo is trying to build the same thing again, but this time with players who can pass and skate better.

He definitely did let up. Rossi was down and Guhle had a punch wound up but didn’t throw it. He could have killed the guy.

What happened to the physical Guhle we saw in junior? The guy has become almost as soft as his d partner Barron. He’s now quite pathetic in his physical play.

Hes on pace for 130 hits this year, if thats soft as butter for you, theres like two tough players in the NHL. Thats about the same totals as Weber in his best years.

Martin Saint Louis is also not big into hitting, especially at open ice, thats why we dont see any on the team. Do you recall more than two hits made by a defender near a line?

Hes also still very weak physically, do you somehow forget hes 21?

Guhle will be a top pairing D for sure. 21 years old and he play really really good.

I'm 100% confident about his offensive production, 40-45 points per year with his two-way ans physical game, that's a great top pairind D to me.
