If you look at the player stats, you couldn't ask for a better production distribution from the forwards.

That 3rd line is clicking and notice how there is only 1 defenseman in the top 10, as it should be. In years past the top 10 was filled with a few D like Miller & Trouba with and a surprise depth forward but 3rd liners like Kakko way down and not just trickling in with 1 or 2 points.

Its great to see Reilly Smith up there as well. Thats a huge pickup and its working out.

It’s still very early in the season, so let’s see how things play out. This is a great start and is far more sustainable than just relying on great special teams and goaltending the way we have the past few years.

looking at just production over such a small sample size is dubious. the team, and kakko, looks great though.

For sure, its early and things need to continue.

The key here is the health of Chytil. Even with the maturation of players like Kakko and Cuylle they are limited if they have a center like Brodzinski in the middle of them. Chytil is the key to providing some serious forward depth and its already paying dividends.
I'm encouraged at how much more resilient Chytil has seemed this season. Seems less susceptible, stronger, tougher. Hope it continues.

Amazing what a player that is by no means a superstar does for this team. We went from a two line team to a 4 line team (4th line is independent of Chytil).

A healthy Chytil is a top 6 center. He was to start last season too. He should be able to devour the level of competition he is getting.
