Honestly, I don't think it's about physical workouts and training for Kakko.

It's about what's between the ears.

He needs to buy a sports car, drive 200 miles per hour on a closed off track, make out with a supermodel, find the kid that took his lunch when he was 7 and kick the shit out of him, and return to training camp with his f***ing balls hanging where they're supposed to be and a renewed desire to take the puck to the net and personally f*** up anybody who stands in his way.

If he can't do that, no amount of training is ever gonna make him anything more than a tweener 2nd/3rd liner.

Just being honest.
It's just after 5 PM in Finland. Kakko better be power skating.

I learned from watching the Olympics that in volleyball there is a defensive-specialist position called the libero. The libero cannot participate in offensive attacks and also wears a different-color uniform than the rest of his teammates. Maybe Kakko should invent the libero position for ice hockey, absolving himself of offensive responsibilities.

pretty sure he trains in finland with rantanen
I remember reading something like that on this board in previous seasons but I have not heard anything about any of our players outside of Kreider and Rempe this summer.

Lots of skating and ripping shots please. If he can grow his game just a little, he makes this team so much deadlier.

We will also be in an extremely shitty spot next season. If Kakko can break out, how do they pay Laf/Miller/Kak/Shesty at the same time?
Better to have someone with value we have to trade, though

At the deadline? Coz all of their contracts are up. Drury looks like such ass, we better have one magical playoff run coming up - I am one confident fan of this team rn.

Kakko/Chytil are what make this team get over the top IMO. If they take a step / stay healthy come playoffs, we are looking damn good.

Though I can see a scenario where we package Lindgren and Kakko for the best damn available dman on a good contract. I also see Kak breaking out after that and if we do that, a 1st better be coming back with said dman.

This also hinges on Othmann / Berard / Riley Smith showing that they are very good at NHL hockey. This will be one interesting season for sure.

Kakko is a big meh. His age is on his side though. Idt Drury is motivated to push out a young homegrown guy when changes to the veteran leadership are imminent. He's a bust as a top 2 pick (as of now) but hes an NHL player. Probably 50/50 he is here longterm, but I have 0 issue with him being apart of this incoming wave of young forwards. I hope he starts to get angry with his play. The more he moves in a straight line the more impactful he will be.

I hear he’s been playing softball. And eating poutine.
Do Something, Kakko! Season 2 premiere: Kaapo can't enough of poutine after Alexis introduces it to him. Filip goes into investigative mode when someone at the local dog park doesn't clean up. Reilly confides in Alexis when he has trouble getting along with Chris and Mika.

Last summer we had pics of him drunk at festivals with hot models on his arm looking at him like their final payday arrived and we said AMEN now he’s finally going to take next step…..yet here we are again
