He's fineAny update on him? I did not see the third last night but saw some folks mention he may be banged up?

Not me. I would happily have Kakko wearing 9 and Kravtsov wearing 11.I think the main problem isn’t having a rare number, everyone is cool with Kravtsov wearing 74, it’s just 45 is an ugly looking number to a decent amount of people
If I’m gonna state my (admittedly not very strong) opinion on their numbers, I’m into Kravtsov’s 74, I think it looks good, I don’t like either of Kakko’s 45 or 24, I’d give him a single digit numberNot me. I would happily have Kakko wearing 9 and Kravtsov wearing 11.
The problem is we've run out of those. If I’m gonna state my (admittedly not very strong) opinion on their numbers, I’m into Kravtsov’s 74, I think it looks good, I don’t like either of Kakko’s 45 or 24, I’d give him a single digit number
4, 5, 6, and 8 aren’t retired, though Trouba’s wearing 8. And I’m fine with retiring numbers, for you it’s a constant reminder of Graves, for someone else it’s a constant reminder of Bathgate, etc, which kind of dilutes it IMOThe problem is we've run out of those.
But I don't really believe in number retirements. To me, that limits the player's legacy, whereas seeing 9 every night would be a constant reminder of Graves.

At the Garden you seem them both. On TV retired numbers don't mean much.4, 5, 6, and 8 aren’t retired, though Trouba’s wearing 8. And I’m fine with retiring numbers, for you it’s a constant reminder of Graves, for someone else it’s a constant reminder of Bathgate, etc, which kind of dilutes it IMO
But its also a sign of respect. You know that no one could even try to match the retired players legacy...The problem is we've run out of those.

Imagine if some asshat started wearing 99 or 68. Those two numbers are soo clearly attached to certain guys

Very astute point. This kid is an assassin in big games. It's so freakin nice to see a player that likes to shoot and can really rip it like Kakko. And even on the rush. So often we hear "WIDE", but I don't even care now cuz Kakko looks to have that killer instinct we've lacked for soo long.
(I don't think Kakko's an exceptionally good shooter, his shot lacks velocity and accuracy. Luckily one of the easiest things to improve)(I don't think Caufield is the best shooter of the draft class)
Just pick any number so we can order our jerseys. Had to go with other guys because of this kid's humbleness. Lol
It's not Kakko's humbleness, it's the Rangers being the most conservative franchise in NA sports. They don't allow players to switch until they make the team.
Stepan in 2010, from 57 to 21
Hayes in 2014, from 59 to 13
Howden in 2018, from 48 to 21
It always happens after pre-season, when they make the team
Did Tino ask Willie Mays?Heard he asked Tino Martinez for his blessing to wear number 24 and Tino said no
Fixed thatHow cool would that be
Or two zeros "00"
Or three digits like 999!
