It's all so tiresome
They aren't. His numbers so far this season look like his rookie season not last.I mean, of course. But how are these advanced stats still so good looking for Kakko given his on ice context?

because he's actively controlling the puck when he gets it. Even last night, one sequence, he forechecked, stole the puck, got pinned by 2 guys, and still managed to get the puck to strome.I mean, of course. But how are these advanced stats still so good looking for Kakko given his on ice context?
You killed his father prepare to suck with your lottery picks.Fun fact: If Kakko busts, that'll be 9 straight top 10 picks that have either busted or had their relationship with the team demo'd.
Manny Malhotra (1998), Pavel Brendl (1999), Jamie Lundmark (1999), Dan Blackburn (2001), Al Montoya (2004), Dylan McIlrath (2010), Lias Andersson (2017), Vitali Kravtsov (2018).
Arguably 11 straight depending on your view of Nicklas Sundstrom (1993) (add him and Jayson More (1987) to the list). 10 or 12 straight if Lafreniere busts too.
The streak ends there... With Brian f***ing Leetch (1986).
So how would you describe his skating?Kakko does not have above average skating lol
SlowSo how would you describe his skating?
Exactly he has hands and he is strong on his skates but he is so god f***ing damn slow, his speed is like average-.Slow
In hockey this happens if someone does not like player he is playing with.Eye test - He does not mesh well with that line and goes entire periods with neither panarin nor strome passing it to him. He generates movement on the puck by doing the hard work, and then they play catch and he doesn't get a point. Panarin literally looks him off at times.
The game last night was a great example. Panarin had him wide open for a cross ice breakout, and then he turns around looks at everyone else, and then dumps the puck in where he has to chase.
and unfortunately you dont get to do that if you're being paid 11 million f***ing dollars. In hockey this happens if someone does not like player he is playing with.
i mean his stats are not even out of tune with his line, he has no pp time so take pp points out of the equation and strome has 1 points in 8 games and panarin 3pts in 12.... so really you dont like to see it but it makes sense with his lineThis is fine. But how does one reconcile this with the fact that he has ZERO points? Bad luck would be a reasonable explanation if he had just a few points. Zero? Does he just lack the skills required to finish plays?
What a refreshing post. I imagine the kid would have several points by now if he played in Stromes spot on the PP, or was played over f***in Goodrow in OTi mean his stats are not even out of tune with his line, he has no pp time so take pp points out of the equation and strome has 1 points in 8 games and panarin 3pts in 12.... so really you dont like to see it but it makes sense with his line

So???
Because people are acting like he's played 30 games with no points.
A tenth of the season with zero points in what was supposed to be a breakout season is alarming to put it mildly.
Nobody should be judged on 7 fing games especially when he was injured. It's ridiculous.
I can’t speak for others but I’m not “judging.”
I’m saying 0 points in a tenth of the season is alarming. Ie, it’s enough time to draw inferences of serious concern without final conclusions.
