Rumor: Just Kidding! Pettersson and JT Miller Trade Reunion!

Wasn’t Kulich an absolute monster at the WJ’s a couple years ago? Good numbers in AHL.

I can see why Buffalo wouldn’t want to move him, but as a Canucks fan, now I want him.
And he’s been very good this year for us. Which is why he’s probably not available

Pettersson only doesn't have a NMC yet because he wasn't eligible for one. Would they really do him dirty and banish him to Buffalo before his NMC kicks in?
I don't really want the team to trade Petey but if I was in Allvin's shoes, then yeah I would do Petey dirty like that. His immaturity is perplexing as a professional - we didn't see this a few years ago. He and Miller should've done the Wille Mitchell and Ryan Kesler hug and walk from like 2009 or whatever after they had a tussle but no - they refuse to show any semblance of cohesion as teammates. They're probably the single biggest reason the season is practically down the gutter despite heroics from Hughes and Lankinen.

Wasn't Mitchell no longer with the team less than a year later? So that made that situation better. And they probably should have chosen Miller instead of Horvat a couple years ago, to maintain the peace in Vancouver.

I would take any stories that make Willie Mitchell seem thoughtful or considerate with a bit of salt.

That was moreso due to questions about Mitchell's ability to continue playing hockey following some nasty concussions - they weren't able to commit and decided to go with a core of Hamhuis, Bieksa, Ehrhoff, and Edler heading into 2011. Mitchell did go on to continue playing and ended up winning a cup with LA.

Yeah Mitchell fought with Raymond in practice and it was a story for a total of 24hrs. It was a bit disappointing watching Michelle have many more productive seasons after walking for a relatively cheap deal

Pettersson has done the Canucks a dirty by not playing up to his contract.
Hasn't been that long since he signed it, why sign him to that contract in the first place if you even feared he was going to "regress" and become a problem? Meanwhile he's still on pace for 60+ points in a supposed down year. He's a luxury player to own. One of the only other teams that had him rated as high in his draft year in 2017 was the New York Rangers thanks to one of the head scouts at the time under Jeff Gorton. Everyone else doubted him back then and they still doubt him today.

They're not moving him unless it's a desperate overpayment from some team and with this J.T. forcing himself to NYR stuff most teams think they can squeeze themselves into the Vancouver drama and also get EP for a cheap used & abused cost, it's a buyers market this year, it's not gonna happen.

Patrik Allvin the Swedish GM of little team Sweden is not moving their franchise Swedish star.

Pettersson played well when Miller was out of the lineup. Looked like His old self.
Canucks brass noticed. If Boston wanted Miller would they trade Pavel Zacha. He's
hasn't been lights out, but has been good. Probably would not want to leave Boston.

I would never in a million years trade zacha for miller. I honestly wouldn’t offer that much. Couple draft picks, coyle and Carlo maybe.

Seems clear by now that he had his reservations about signing because he wasn't comfortable with the team dynamic with Miller but caved given the threat to trade him to Carolina. Now, a year later, they did the exact same thing. I would be surprised at this point if both are not traded by the summer this year.

If it's just zacha for Miller one for one I'll drive zacha to the airport.
I get it. You badly want miller. Zacha is probably the best cap hit in the league. He reminds me of krecji too. So good in all three zones. Good vision. Has a really hard shot that comes off his stick fast. If only he hit the net more often…and far younger than miller.

So Kulich is a deal breaker for a 100pts player :slaugh:

Good ol Buffalo, never change.
It's the constant conundrum with Buffalo, isn't it? Elite prospect pool, amazing drafting and talent on the NHL roster, players with insane trade values - yet the team stinks.

I know everybody blames "ownership" - but maybe the players aren't as good as thought of (at least, to you know, win). Not making Kulich available when you theoretically have 3 center replacements already on the roster is the type of decision that failing organizations do.

The Sabres: where every year is the year, until about halfway through.

That's like saying the Flyers (my team, who are also guilty of this nonsense), won't trade away Tyson Foerster even though they have like 8000 RWs (admittedly may not be as good but certainly talented) for an established elite 1C.

Is it a risk to call him that? Sure. But it's a hell of a lot less risky saying EP will hit 100 points again than Jett Luchanko hitting 100.

Yea but Miller moves the needle huge especially since bruins lacking a true number 1 C. Miller is a top C.

It's not ownership.

They gave drafted well

The issue this year has been more
mental/head/ confidence. And their PP hasnt been bvb all thsg good.

1. There has been 8 games they had a 3rd period lead and come away with 0 or 1s points. It's about 12 missed points from these. A few of these were tying goals against with 30 sec left or less and then lose it in OT/SO

2. They have had 7 other games where they were tied in the 3rd and came away with 0 pts

3. Then you have about 10+ others they were down 1 goal in the third and missed PP chances

Say they get 8 more points from group 1, 4 more points from group 2 and 5 more points from group 3

8+4+5=17

Extra 15 pts has them tied for 3rd/WC in division.
