I just posted a video that shows exactly what True Blue was describing.

And where could one find this video?

Ugh, outside of the fact that I have trust issues with the goalie and I'm disappointed with the defense after being amazing for over a month being so damn subpar the last 2 games, I still think mostly what I thought about this team. That said this thread was a lot more fun when we were beating the best teams in the NHL recently, ugh.

Height? Callahan 2 inches taller than St Louis

How do you know those 2 inches wont win them a playoff series? Or a cup?

Plus you have to factor in posture. Callahan stands up straight while St. Louis slouches. The difference could be up to 4 inches.

I'm pretty sure people on HockeysFuture would rather have traded Callahan for magic beans instead of the reigning Art Ross Trophy winner.

The Rangers in this trade are going all in.

We are still nowhere near the level of Boston. We would still lose in 7 games to Pitts. If we made it to the SCF we'd be run over and embarrassed by LA, Chicago or STL.

How are we nowhere near the level of Boston or Pittsburgh, especially since we traded for the best winger in the world??!?!

Like I said, people are more content with finishing 8thish and retaining the 1st rounder than acquiring elite talent and having a chance to win it all.

The best winger in the world. You can't make up some of the stuff you read around here. :shakehead

I don't think it's outlandish to suggest the guy who had the most points in the league last year and since the 2010 Olympics is the best winger.

Not the best winger in the world.

Does he improve the Rangers? Yes, slightly.

Chance to win it all? Man, you are going to be really disappointed when the Rangers get ousted in the first or second round. At least we get to watch the shiny new toy play on Garden ice.

Buy his jersey. Whatever.

He's one of the best wingers in the world, a legit star. But we were already strong at RW. He adds finishing ability, which we very much needed, but we still have the same positional weaknesses.

Ummm....Did you watch this weekend? Should tell you all you need to know.

In all fairness, I do believe you're selling MSL short (no pun intended haha). Trading a guy who was a 3rd liner on this team for statistically the best offensive producing winger since last yr does not improve the Rangers slightly, rather it improves them considerably.
