I just posted a video that shows exactly what True Blue was describing.
What tells you that?Again, this team could play Torts "gritty" style if they wanted or needed to.
Not look. The yare.I am not surprised the team looks less gritty.
Yes, this is all about Boyle. They also do not seem to have Boyle's line out there every other shift.
Obviously that bothers you. I consider it an improvement.

Yes, this is all about Boyle.
They just even less grittier.
The Rangers are now a top-5 team in the league at 3 positions. RW, D, G.
Maybe.
But they just took a huge hit in the grit, shot blocking, and height department.
Height? Callahan 2 inches taller than St Louis

I'm pretty sure people on HockeysFuture would rather have traded Callahan for magic beans instead of the reigning Art Ross Trophy winner.
The Rangers in this trade are going all in.
We are still nowhere near the level of Boston. We would still lose in 7 games to Pitts. If we made it to the SCF we'd be run over and embarrassed by LA, Chicago or STL.
How are we nowhere near the level of Boston or Pittsburgh, especially since we traded for the best winger in the world??!?!
The best winger in the world. You can't make up some of the stuff you read around here.![]()

Like I said, people are more content with finishing 8thish and retaining the 1st rounder than acquiring elite talent and having a chance to win it all.
I don't think it's outlandish to suggest the guy who had the most points in the league last year and since the 2010 Olympics is the best winger.
Ummm....Did you watch this weekend? Should tell you all you need to know. How are we nowhere near the level of Boston or Pittsburgh, especially since we traded for the best winger in the world??!?!
Not the best winger in the world.
Does he improve the Rangers? Yes, slightly.
Chance to win it all? Man, you are going to be really disappointed when the Rangers get ousted in the first or second round. At least we get to watch the shiny new toy play on Garden ice.
Buy his jersey. Whatever.
