Is expecting others to put in effort a "locker room problem"? Is being fine with others not giving a shit being a "good locker room guy"?As a neutral and objective fan, i would say Elias Pettersson AINEC. Miller brings with him highs and lows but ultimately too much drama. Pettersson has his ups and downs too but in the end you get a top quality player who makes those around him better. You win with that, compared to lockerroom problems that Miller lives for
Correct, you see things incorrectly, and differently as you suggestIs expecting others to put in effort a "locker room problem"? Is being fine with others not giving a shit being a "good locker room guy"?
I guess I see things differently.
Miller has been the better player but he was the right player to move, I dunno how the offer they got was the best because I swear they had 5-6 teams interested, however I still think they made the right move to keep Pettersson over Miller but wew that return.
Quinn Hughes already said New Jersey is a dump. Said it on live television. If the hughes wanna be united they can come to Vancouver.I would much prefer the trio playing in Vancouver.
I definitely do. I myself don't tolerate freeloaders, either.Correct, you see things incorrectly, and differently as you suggest

maybe, still hard to imagine this was the best offerThe rest probably wanted the Canucks to retain salary
It’s was just an example. You probably don’t remember the season a couple years ago where there was like 10 threads about JT’s toxic behaviour but as a Canucks fan I remember it clearly. For the record I like JT I’m just saying what happened.Breaking his stick over his own goalie's net is a no no. But is screaming f*** really something noteworthy other than the guy being frustrated? I'm sure we all do it during the game multiple times, lol. This is sports not the opera.

Agree with most of this here but Miller had to go, some players just aren't worth what they do on the ice, hopefully he can just play hockey and hit his strengths for the NYR otherwise it might get ugly.Pettersson easily has the higher peak. His offense has had the lowest valleys though. Petey has had extended periods of consistently bad offensive production while Miller is way more reliable scoring wise, but is wildly inconsistent defensively. He will go all out one shift and then just stand around and give up on a play the next. Unironically Miller has won the Canucks more games while a Canuck but also lost us way more games than Petey has since Petey, at his worst, is a great defensive player and possession guy.
So on the ice its pretty clearly Miller. If we include off the ice... while people have been quoted as saying Miller was really important (in the positive sense) in the locker room, this is his third straight team with a bad exit and while the Canadian media is real unfair about propagating rumours, Miller clearly caused a ton of problems with others over the years. All of them cant be false given his track record and history. Hes the common denominator in all the locker room issues that have existed.
Overall I'd say its a wash, Miller being a bigger negative off the ice and a bigger positive on the ice, but people shouldnt forget that Petey's peak is a level Miller just doesnt have and it includes consistent 200 ft defensive play that you cant rely on Miller for. No idea how the Nucks will replace Miller's clutch offense and the good parts of his leadership though. Going to be a mess.
