I know Everybody Hates Chris (Drury), but the 3 major trades he's pulled off since the Trouba memo have been resounding wins for the Rangers. He added an elite C/W in JT, a top 4 D-man in Borgen and another much needed lefty defenseman with team control in Vaakanainen all for clear long term question marks in Chytil, Kakko and Trouba. he also retained no salary and in fact cleared 3-4 million on the cap this year. That's buying for the future without renting and I hope it continues in the coming days.

why are we talking about rapist protecting coach and kakko in the chytil/miller thread?

lock please

I think the JT trade was important because they finally have a top player who can lead by example style wise for younger players. When he chips the puck in he goes and gets it. If a dman is ther JT hits him to knock him off the puck. When he goes to the crease he doesn't take abuse without giving it back. Good example for young guys like Will, Oth and maybe even Laf.

Agreed. Small thing but in the last game before the break, Olivier was running around for CBJ all night and early in the 3rd, JT made a beeline for him and laid a big hit. that shows me an awareness for the game within the game that JT has, that alot of our other veterans do not have. Just tell the other team's enforcer, "I see you". JT will also drop the gloves with anyone. Schenn Parayko, etc. He was the first man into a scrum going at Tom Wilson when he was taking some liberties with Quinn. That matters a lot.
