Did you miss some of the biggest news coming from the 2024-2025 season so far?Trade away J.T. Miller and watch drama unfold in the Rangers locker-room.
It won’t.He has a full, no trade clause, he would have to waive himself.
He’s been the second best Canucks player in the last three seasons.
Having a bad season alongside the rest of our roster.
Top 10 and scoring in the last three seasons, and the best player for us in the playoffs last season.
It’s gonna be very interesting to see how much this “rift” lowers his value if at all.
Honestly, I don’t think it does, especially if the Rangers go after him, they want him badly apparently.
A RHD will have to be included.

Wait what?Did you miss some of the biggest news coming from the 2024-2025 season so far?
Yeah that's not bad things. Taking a fat one dimensional power play merchant for JT isn't the deal that screams "bad things".You can have Zibadejad for him. 1 for 1. Otherwise go away and leave us to our retool/rebuild.
Zibby and Borgen ($11.2M) for Miller, Hoglander and Desharnais ($11.1M).

The two teams probably want to swap JT and Mika for a change of scenery but the NMC is preventing that. No other deal really makes sense, like you say.I cannot figure out a realistic permutation that is cap-compliant and that helps both teams.
As far as we know there is no infighting between Laf and teammates. You really think this would be going on if Petterson could get along with JT? Completely different situations.and Canucks just did the same thing with Pettersson yet there are conversations being had about trading him.
Rather miller disappear than take that contractI know the Canucks don't have to trade Miller right now or at any point. But hypothetical situation for Canucks fans:
If you had to choose would you rather trade Miller for Zib or just have Miller disappear for nothing?
I've only seen the Rangers twice this year but nothing seems like a better return than Zib. Which to me indicates this trade isn't happening.
JT Miller does not have negative Value, Mika has Negative ValueThe two teams probably want to swap JT and Mika for a change of scenery but the NMC is preventing that. No other deal really makes sense, like you say.
They're both impediments as the NMC really leads into the Salary being an issue.
There are teams that can fit him in with out sending anything (or much) back.
Those teams are almost across the board bad teams. We're talking about CBJ/CHI/SJS's of the world.
Perhaps I'm wrong, but he isn't going to waive to go to those teams.
Better teams are pretty capped out and aren't going to move heaven and earth to add this player. Not now at least.
Punishment: Ottawa soon will have to forfeit another draft pick to make amends.Rangers just keep on tampering lol
The thread your on is reporting that chris drury is willing to do " bad bad things " to get JT Miller.
if that doesnt sound desperate, i dont know what does.
'It's definitely [been blown out of proportions]," Horvat told The Hockey News on Thursday morning. "It's always a tough market that way. Any little piece of information gets magnified in those situations, right? But I mean, that comes with the territory. It comes with playing there.
"The fans are passionate about their team. It's basically the only huge sports team besides the BC Lions and the White Caps. That's what Vancouver is all about, is the Canucks. So every little thing that's going on in that dressing room or going on with the team, it's gonna get magnified, for sure, and that just comes with playing there."
Horvat continued: "Unfortunately, you're gonna be on both sides of it, right? It's not always gonna be sunshine and rainbows. There's not always gonna be good things said. It's gotta be a tricky situation. It's gotta be tough. But if any two guys, or if anybody can handle it, those guys can."
"Miller and I got along great. There's gonna be times when you're gonna cuss each other out. There's gonna be times when you're not gonna like somebody, but at the same time, you respect everybody," Horvat said. "You're all friends in there, you're all teammates, and you're all fighting towards the same goal. Are you gonna get along all the time? No, but at the same time, he and I had a good relationship. Same with me and Petey"
"I was captain there, so it was my job to keep everybody even keel and to make sure everybody got long and that the team was fighting for the same thing, for the same goal."
How is it possible that you can (sensibly) raise the consideration of cap constraints in the first part of your sentence and then immediately turn around and propose a trade where the Canucks ship out 8M and then take back 12M+?Miller makes 8 mill , Canucks arent retaining nor are they rebuilding. picks and prospect can be part of the package but it wont be the centrepiece.
if im a betting man, and Iam....its gonna be
Zib, KMiller and a 1st or 2nd.
From this point forward, Ottawa's draft picks and prospects will be kept in escrow at the leagues office to be confiscated at will. The league will send a nicely printed statement each month to see how their resources have been used.Punishment: Ottawa soon will have to forfeit another draft pick to make amends.
75 point pace? We saw what happened to Zibanejad when he had 72 points last season...JT Miller does not have negative Value, Mika has Negative Value
JT Miller is a #1 Center and has 24 points in 26 games in a drama filled season.
He is also the second best player on this team, has been a force for us in the past 3 years and the Canucks do not have to trade him.
