any reason why this happened?
Canucks Nation cheering on JT Miller, legit Survivor (in survivor series), for a quick healthy comeback! Awesome to see.
any reason why this happened?
He’s not suspended, of course he’s getting paidIs he getting paid while he resets?
Frank Mahovlich, in November 1964.Has a heart and soul guy with an A on a potential cup contending team ever taken time off like this? I can't think of a single example.
Hopefully JT (and Demko) comes back on Dec 6th, Stone Cold style (beer truck and all), and we can end all this stupid speculation once and for all.
Did Mahovlich wear an A that season? I was a Toronto kid and don't remember him serving as an assistant captain on the Leafs.Frank Mahovlich, in November 1964.
When Miller returns he’s going to non stop hear it from opposing teams especially in the playoffs, teams are going to get under his skin with the name calling and trash talking hopefully he doesn’t get thrown off his game by it. Canucks could’ve handled it better and said family reasons instead of personal reasons.
Beats me.Did Mahovlich wear an A that season? I was a Toronto kid and don't remember him serving as an assistant captain on the Leafs.
How do you know he's injured? The only thing they've said was that it was for "personal reasons"
"we said NOT Alex"The speculation is predictably getting out of control. The media lives for this and knows that fans will believe anything juicy.
I cant imagine how bad it’s gonna get by next week.
Petey and Nylander are planning to join Bedard in Chicago
Normalize what?huge disagree. it is strength to do this, and needs to be normalized
I wouldn’t be surprised if Miller said or did something to Pettersson that the club felt crossed the line. A lot of us fans have been losing our minds with Pettersson and his level of play. Imagine how somebody like Miller views Pettersson.I'm just gonna say it - you would have to be oblivious not to notice the change in Pettersson's demeanor since Miller stepped away. There is or was something going on between those two. No point in speculating exactly what it is.
I feel that it’s something like this + injuries that made him hard to be around and he has enough self awareness to step away.I wouldn’t be surprised if Miller said or did something to Pettersson that the club felt crossed the line. A lot of us fans have been losing our patience with Pettersson and his level of play, but imagine how somebody like Miller feels.
Mahovlich played for the Leafs for a decade and led them in scoring 4 times, the 1961, 2, 3 and 5 seasons. He led the Leafs in goal scoring six times in a row, 1961 through 1966, though in the year you mentioned earlier, 1964-65, rookie Ron Ellis tied him for the goal scoring lead.Beats me.
He was their perennial scoring leader, though, wasn't he? The Big M, and all of that?
What the fans love about Miller is... his raging against losses; and his willingness to do whatever it takes to set an example physically and verbally to rally his team.
Garland and Joshua had a dust up…You can't discount it entirely.....didn't Pettersson and Miller get into a verbal and physical altercation at a practice earlier in the season?
Doesn't necessarily mean that Pettersson improved play has anything to do with Miller's absence. But doesn't appear to me that as 'team-mates', they're particularly close.
Need some more interesting stories, JT actually wants to quit hockey and become a priest. He’s actually interning at the Vatican right now.I see we've entered the "making shit up" stage of the story. Looking forward to the "made-up thing being received as hard truth" chapter still to come.
