It's ok to be consistently shitty, just don't be lazy. lol

The rumours that he's playing hurt maybe explains some of it, but then if he' so hurt that he can't play right then maybe he shouldn't be playing at all. Unless they're thinking that even a 50% Miller is better than the depth behind him, but even if that were true on the ice (debatable) the circus off the ice would seem to make it a net negative.

IMO, I don't think anything is hurt other than his confidence. He just looks like a guy who is feeling the pressure and can't get out of his own way and doesn't have the mental makeup to get out of it right now. I think he's a guy who "feels" the game and feeds off energy and right now he's so frustrated he can't do anything that seems right and keeps digging himself deeper.

Well, I hope that's not the takeaway. Lol. I meant moreso that we can't really expect more from Myers. But we have seen, and should be able to expect, more from Miller.
Myers is what he is. Miller is a mercurial b.

If I had to guess Id say he is dealing with a neck / shoulder / nerv thing.

I don't love the idea of trading him mid-season unless the value is clearly there.

Mercer and Nemec is a deal that I would do.

If the Devils are insisting it only be Nemec and a 2026 1st, I'd be less inclined to move him mid-season.

Alvin and the Chipmunks come in, say playing hard and a certain style is whats needed. They trade horvat since well no one under his watch played hard enough. The fire Bruce cause heck there was a drop in play under his watch.

Now the defense was made like garbage besides huggy, the player who gets yelled at for being lazy is staying, all the players who had good years have sucked Hoggy,Josh,Miller,Petey,Demmer .. wut do?

This collaspe IMHO is all due to a a head coach and system that wants defense and forchecking. We have Travis green 2.0 and on top of that the Chief went from Michelin star to franchise food truck this year.

I WANT TO BELEIVE, so if this trade happens what do we get? A heap of cap space and a group of younf talent that maybe becomes the next core ? Im ok with that. A really good player back and cap space, Im not so inclined to want but I can live with it. If we get a soild D Man on a decent contract, and not much else im like meh always next few years. If we get scraps, no good young players or D help Ill hate it for a LONG TIME!

Somebody say we should have kept Horvat and traded Miller
We probably should have traded both of them, so I guess we're at that point anyway.

But yes, keeping Miller over Horvat was always a curious move.

Tocchet has said several times Miller is not hurt..........this is a mental thing...........his mind is clearly not focused.........

Sounds like he's as good as gone...........not sure if the damage is too great this year but it's starting to feel like that............
Yeah and they said EP wasn't injured either. Their comments on injures mean nothing

What system and coach don't want defense and forechecking?

Yeah, I've noticed a few instances where he suddenly completely stops using an arm and then hightails it to the bench at first opportunity.

Reminder that when he plays hard (like he's done 90% of his time here including every playoff game) he's one of the best forwards in the league. Understand the age factor and don't like his body language the last handful of games, but wish we could say that about Pettersson...

And that is exactly why trading JT would be a massive mistake.

JT is one of the only players in the league that can keep a lid on McDrai. News flash, those guys aren't going anywhere. All playoff roads lead to them. There isn't another player on this team that occupies a seconds thought in those guys head. They are incredibly talented, physical, moody and dirty SOB's.

They will break wrists, and cross check faces, and our other center options just aren't cut out for that.

Losing JT would be worse than losing Tanev, which was another popular move on this dumbass sub.

Too inconsistent as hell, he played well tonight but was ass the other games.
Sure, but offensively he's probably our most effective forward. I was at the game and it was pretty much all him and Garland.

Petey's two way game is nice but that's not what we're paying him $11.6M for.

Boeser rarely gets to the net now, he's so behind, he might be mistaken for a D in the offensive zone.
