This guy has single handedly f***ed this team. Just bench him till we trade him. f*** him.
They started the game this way?Ice time is literally the only cudgel current NHL coaches have. It's the only tool they have for accountability.
If Miller quits when he's held accountable, then talent-level be damned, he's a negative impact on a team.
Also, Miller, at his best, is a fantastic player. But he's not even close to comparable to Draisaitl.
Do you have insight on his mental and physical health issues this year? This guy has single handedly f***ed this team. Just bench him till we trade him. f*** him.
Starting to look like he might've needed more time away.View attachment 962882
Miller actually seemed to open up a bit here. Kind of sad how people go from chanting his names and calling him the heartbeat of this team to trashing the guy based on half a season. He's clearly going through it and I’m still hoping he can turn it around.
Like on merit or because @CanucksSayEh says so?None of these guys should be playing in the tournament.

We dont know why he was sent home.Well when one takes a leave of absence (likely) due to mental health issues it might not be possible to simply turn on the switch.
Ah now your post in the EP thread makes sense.I honestly don't think he deserves that much criticism. Being his age and state, he wants to win, but seeing teammates like Pettersson taking it easy and getting that much from his contract, there bound to be some salt.
Well... I dont trust our medical staff at all. So there is that.Honestly, one of the most baffling situations I have ever seen.
Many are saying he is actually injured... so why is he playing? He looks mostly awful. Put him on LTIR and rest him up. Take that cap space and go get a d-man or two which has been by far the biggest issue.
Fans would dump on the coach if Draisaitl is moved off the powerplay. We wanted bouchard off PP1 and still do because of some of his bonehead giveaways on the pp. But only temporarily.Could you imagine the Oilers moving Draisaitl away from PP1 because of a couple months of sub par play for Leon?
The vibes look a lot like 9 and 40 just cant play together and co exist right now and everyone around them is getting dragged into the sewer
Everytime drama has happened with Miller this year it's been on the heels of getting benched or demoted or singled out. Is he overreacting and being a baby.... yes he is. Piss poor leadership yes
Thing is though when you start a game and leave the top guy on the bench what kind of disrespect is that for what someone has accomplished and is still capable of? It's a dangerous game that Tocchet had backfire a few times this year.
When i saw it my immediate reaction was WTF is Tocchet doing here. 4 minutes no shots and an obviously pissed off Miller to start. Well done?
The trade would be with another cup contending team that has assets.A trade is going to be tricky. Miller should get a great return even under the circumstances but you need roster players in return to compete for the post season
To sell right now doesnt seem realistic (at least Ive never seen any team on the cusp of the playoffs become sellers 45 games in)
Nobody on the roster has had a longer leash than Miller.Fans would dump on the coach if Draisaitl is moved off the powerplay. We wanted bouchard off PP1 and still do because of some of his bonehead giveaways on the pp. But only temporarily.
Miller should be on PP1 no matter what. Tocchet can't be moving him up and down like this. It affects the player mentally.
Tyler Myers says hello.Nobody on the roster has had a longer leash than Miller.
But at some point when you are playing awful hockey there needs to be consequences. Even for the players that make the big bucks.
Thaaat is a fair pointTyler Myers says hello.
Keeping horvat was definitely a better option than trying to sign lindholm for 7x7Somebody say we should have kept Horvat and traded Miller
Wouldn't be the first time we've seen stars suddenly go from elite players to absolute bums.
Naslund and Bertuzzi are pretty much Pettersson and Miller except in this go around they hate each other
At least in Myers case it's not from a lack of effort. There's a lot of problems with Myers game, but being lazy isn't one of them. He's just not very bright and tries to do too much. Miller is smart, but plays as if he's both lazy/uninterested and dumb.Thaaat is a fair point
It's ok to be consistently shitty, just don't be lazy. lolAt least in Myers case it's not from a lack of effort. There's a lot of problems with Myers game, but being lazy isn't one of them.
