Well it fits in with Dubas' mindset.

Need help on the blueline last trade deadline? Trade for a forward (Foligno) and another goalie.
(Still) Need help on the blueline during the off-season? Sign a bunch of forwards.
(Still) Need help on the blueline at this year's trade deadline? Trade for more forwards.

(And those who will point to Lyubushkin as an exception, I will note he also got a forward in the deal. And then traded for another goalie).

Hmm, I really like watching Miller every game... I'd miss him :( but I understand the need to recoup assets and sell high. I actually think he'd fit amazingly well with Toronto, he is a vocal passionate leader and a hell of a player.

They lost to Montreal and Columbus because they couldn't score goals not because of their defense.

Miller would be awesome in Toronto, I think he makes a lot more sense there than commonly rumoured places like Minnesota or the Rangers.

Would really this move for them if they can pull it off.

Watching what’s happening tonight and what happened yesterday, Maple Leafs seem like they really need the help or else heads are gonna roll after these playoffs. I’m not advocating trading for Miller, Maple Leafs have enough fire power as is but need help defensively. This is more so Friedman speculating judging by the way he says it so we can all spare ourselves the arguments.
No they need more balance on the lines. There is a reason why JT, Nylander and Kerfoot line has been struggling because they are one of the softest lines in the nhl! Kerfoot tries the bump the odd player but that’s it. Forechecking and body checking create space and turnovers but they don’t do it!

Sure, throw in Pettersson and Q. Hughes 50% retained and we might be able to make it work

That would be nice but the price would be too high. We're probably better off going after MAF. I'd give up our 2023 first rounder and any prospect in our pool for Miller though.
As fans we have bias that effects our thinking. I wonder what the managers’ consider fair value? As a fan, I love Marner. (Hate the Leafs though). I would trade Miller + Demko for Marner + ?
Wonder what Allvin and Dubas would consider fair value though?

No chance I would do that from a Canucks POV.
