I've eaten probably 10 Smoked Meat Sandwiches in Edmonton trying to chase the one I had in Montreal lol. Including buying the store bought which was the same brand as one of the famous shops out in Montreal. But I found the amount of meat given was chincey in those packages. A good Montreal smoked meat will be stacked and juicy. I haven't tried what they have at Costco though, I'll look out for it and see if it can be made at home. Of the ones I've tried, was Drifters Lounge which had a huge sign advertising best Montreal Smoked Meat, it was not. There was a place called June's Deli that specialized in it, but as I predicted they'd shut down, $18 buck for a chincey amount of meat in their Smoked Meat ain't gonna fly in Edmonton. The new Food Hall on Whyte has a French Canadian stall, there's is okay there but again not really stacked. Hadn't heard of Bugsey's or Sandwich Project though, I'll have to try it out, the chase continues.I bought a giant pack of Montreal smoked meat at the Business Costco. Lasted a month and was genuinely surprised at the quality. There used to be a place in mayfield, I believe it was called Bugsy’s or something similar, but they made the best damn smoke meat sandwiches. Unfortunately they didn’t last long in that spot. The Sandwich Project is top notch though 45th Ave &97 St.
Edit: Hey is that smoked meat at Costco only available at Business Costco location?
