How many Habs players are putting in extra time after a game or in between games? I saw that Xhekaj does, I don’t know who else.
I've seen Slaf and Hutson do it. Although Hutson put in extra time for his shot and it doesn't look like time well spent at the moment lol.How many Habs players are putting in extra time after a game or in between games? I saw that Xhekaj does, I don’t know who else.
It's going to go in eventually...I've seen Slaf and Hutson do it. Although Hutson put in extra time for his shot and it doesn't look like time well spent at the moment lol.
Yes, least played (11m).
I didn't say he played well...and I totally expect him to go back down once Laine is cleared. And did nothing of note. That's the issue I have with Roy. He has the skill, the shot, and the IQ. But all that is meaningless if you're not putting in that extra effort. A guy in his spot, who doesn't have a spot has to do more to earn it.
You look at Heineman and you see what I mean. He's making sure to be noticed when he's on the ice, whether it's a hit or a forecheck.
Who said anything about Heineken and Evans? You dense man!11:30 of ice time 46sec of PP time and you're already bragging about being right on him.
It's shows how much you know about hockey if you think that Heineiman and Evans are 2nd line players.
Well he was our best player on the 2nd line once Monahan left and the team has very limited talent. He probably still is better suited on the 2nd line than some of the other guys we have tried. Armia and Newhook haven't looked the same since Roy got injured and removed from their line. It's hard to believe that people were ready to give him a top-six spot; he isn't that noticeable out there.
Absolutely. Again, it’s the people who say he has no upside who drive me bonkers. He's been up for two games on an ass team. He was good last year and showed he could play in the NHL. Give him some time.
I don’t know what his trade value is though.Well he was our best player on the 2nd line once Monahan left and the team has very limited talent. I don't think he's doing any worse than most other guys. He's made some excellent plays such as that perfect pass to Evans who missed the net by 10ft, and some really bad ones where he displays his lackadaisical play.
I can't understand what the point of playing him 11 minutes a night does. He's the opposite of an energy guy and he makes plays where only a handful of players in the organization can make. Should be getting top 6 ice time in the NHL or AHL. My biggest fear is us not doing anything with him and having him lose his trade value. I think Mailloux will be in the same boat soon too. Both clearly have high end skill but the rest of their game could be what prevents them from being key players with us.
I remember people on here putting Roy on the 2nd line. Pumping his tires... good times!

In theory, yes teams should question why a team that can use this type of talent would look at trading him. But yet it happens. Dallas is one of the best run organizations in the league and gave up a 1st for Lundkvist. I'm not saying he's worth a 1st, but I don't think he's got mid round pick value.I don’t know what his trade value is though.
Dude’s production totals don’t lend themself to a player who needs to be traded.
Any GM seeing we want to trade him would surely cock an eye brow. But I could be wrong. If he could be a piece in landing us a top 4 RD then sure but there would have to be significant adds.
I feel like his value is more significant to us than on the trade market but I could be wrong
Yeah ultimately I don’t really know. I’m inclined to live and die with him but it depends on what he can get for us obviouslyIn theory, yes teams should question why a team that can use this type of talent would look at trading him. At 5v5, he played more than Gallagher and Slaf. I wouldn't say he was on a energy line personally...I can't understand what the point of playing him 11 minutes a night does. The difference between him and Heineman is all about the skating. Roy needs like 2 really good off-season's to fix that skating. I'm one of his biggest fans, I think he's a star talent but his feet are bad.And did nothing of note. That's the issue I have with Roy. He has the skill, the shot, and the IQ. But all that is meaningless if you're not putting in that extra effort. A guy in his spot, who doesn't have a spot has to do more to earn it.

He has to find a way to improve his play without the puck, it is a requirement if he wishes to stay in the NHL. He needs to prove to MSL that he deserves to move up and play with better players, nothing should be handed to him. 9 points in 23 NHL games is hardly killing it but he may get an opportunity or he may go back to Laval when Laine returns.Well he was our best player on the 2nd line once Monahan left and the team has very limited talent. Max Pacioretty?Ugh, when was the last time we called up a prospect and they took off?
Roy is starting to remind us, of someone eh.......he better start making the effort real soon. And did nothing of note. That's the issue I have with Roy. He has the skill, the shot, and the IQ. But all that is meaningless if you're not putting in that extra effort. A guy in his spot, who doesn't have a spot has to do more to earn it.

He definitely looked better than 9 points in 23 games. Not to mention that he wasn’t in the top 6 from the get go and he got those 9 points in and 18 game streak with low ice time. If you think I’m cherry picking stats then he’s 6th in PPG for forwards excluding Monahan who got traded. A key difference is the other guys were getting minimum 5 minutes more ice time per game. So in this context I thought he performed well and the eye test to me says he was our biggest offensive threat after the top line and Monahan getting traded. Heineman is producing less than that yet everyone thinks he’s doing well too.He has to find a way to improve his play without the puck, it is a requirement if he wishes to stay in the NHL. How many players have an acceptable effort level in your eyes this season?Roy is starting to remind us, of someone eh.......he better start making the effort real soon.
