With RHP who needs to be called up after the conditioning stint, he may be on waivers in order to stay in Laval. There's also Pez who has been stuck in the press box practically all season who could be placed on waivers. Even if Pez gets claimed, at this point, no real loss as he's become a non-factor if he can't get into the line-up of the second-to-last team in the standings.
There is the option to extend the stint no? Or it's only in certain cases?

I personally wouldn't scratch Dach after he spoke following last game, see if he can walk the walk after challenging himself but if next game doesn't go his way and the effort isn't there, I'm all for giving him a break to breathe.
Why not just give him 4th line (energy line) minutes first?

Roy responded well to the demotion and now he's back in the big league. Hopefully he learned his lesson and never goes back down again.

Wish they'd give Heineman an extended shot in the top six instead, he's one of the few players who bring energy and looks like he gives a shit yet he plays 10 minutes a game.

With that being said, hopefully Roy makes the most of this opportunity and plays like he did last year instead of how he played in the pre-season.
Heiny can also shoot , Dach is the guy that should be demoted to an energy line until he shows he gives a F , all he does is pass the puck doesn't carry or shoot ,doesn't hit literally useless this year

I agree. Last game was disgusting specially considering the pre-game event. But let's give them one game to answer before punishing.

Agreed, but I'm worried they will scratch him because MSL likes to keep his vets happy and not accountable.

yup
let's see if he had the nads to back up his comments

Caufield-Suzuki-Laine
Roy-Dach-Slafkovsky

Lines it looks like...

I think the 2nd line is a recipe for disaster.. they are all prone to missing pace, all 3 have struggled with confidence at the NHL level this year.
PL on 2nd line vs CBJ I bet

What's the point of this move?

Team is at 22 players with two supposed to come back soon (RHP and Laine), Roy makes it 23.

Pezz has been sitting in the stand for way too long, but at this point he's the 16th forward, not sure why he haven't been waived yet.

Still who is sitting for Roy to play? Dach? Slaf? Someone injured? And Roy is just as lazy as the rest of the team...
The handling of Pezzetta is a head scratcher, show the kid some respect and allow him to look for employment elsewhere. Ridiculous

Pezzetta is 26 he's not a kid anymore. Honestly he's a nothing burger player. He's not that physical. He's not that good of a fighter. If it's a role we want to fill we should trade for one.

Dach, Newhook and Slaf all have the same problem which is consistently terrible decision making with the puck.

Wawa have its flaws but one thing he doesn’t do is stupid passes and turnovers. Always the smart play. I hope they put him right in Dach’s spot and sit him out, guaranteed improvement.

After his game out, Dach can center the 4th line and focus on simplifying his game/grinding it out.

Spot on, Pezz is just grateful he’s getting paid an NHL salary because that wasn’t happening anywhere else but Montreal 2022

The worst player this year imo has been Newhook specially last game. Admittedly i did not watch the full game against Vegas i gave up when the floodgates were lifted but Newhook was horrible in the first. Killed all the plays. Bad decision after bad decisions. It was like watching a blind Paul Byron it was horrible.

So two snipers with a centre that also likes to shoot, and three playmakers together.

Put Slaf back with Cole and Nick. Give Dach Laine and Roy. Or at the very least, let Cole play with Dach and give Nick the two giant wingers.

Roy will bounce someone off 2nd PP (Armia?).

With Laine likely inserted in the next week to 1days, HuGo are trying to give team offense / 2nd line a boost.

Likely means Dach back at C & Slaf back on top line

Dvorak is defensively responsible? Since when?
It would not even matter if he is or not. He's on pace for 25ish points. He was acquired with a 1st and a high 2nd round pick. He is paid 4.25 millions a year. He must be more than what he is. Right now he's producing like Eller but without the elite hard to play against forecheck. He should be a quality middle six player like Gallagher was early in his career when he was sharing the TOI with Gionta. He also has the skills to be one if he wants. It's not a skills issue with him it's a not working hard enough issue and unlike Slaf he's a vet now.

Some people like Newhook because he's putting in efforts, but he's wasting all his energy on nothing play since the season started.
