Glad that it might be a groin pull and not his shoulder.

The old saying that the best ability is availability seems to apply to Norris' constant injuries.
I don't think it's the back as they told us when Ullmark/Perron were out with back issues. Groin area sounds about right especially with Methot saying "nuts". Hoping that recovering from groin injury is faster for skater as opposed to a goalie. Maybe he'll be like Alfie and back right after 4 Nations.

Mid body sounds like a muscle strain or tear.

It could be multiple things…

- Obliques or Adbomen muscle tear
- Bruised or fractured rib
- Groin strain/tear
- Hip Flexor
- Lower back

The way he was hit and dropped his stick he for sure felt some pain or discomfort right away. Then he was limping down the tunnel and seemed to have a hard time getting his foot up. I would bet that’s a groin tear or hip flexor injury.

All of these injuries depending on the severity can go from 2-3 weeks for a strain to 6-8+weeks for a severe tear.

To come back after the 4 nations gives him 3 weeks from now… he might miss a bit more.

I'm pretty sure I have PTSD when I hear the word adductor though.

Just listened to the pre-game interview for tonight's game. Green said Josh would miss a couple of weeks. Did he mean 2 weeks in actual time or 2 weeks worth of games excluding the 4 Nations tournament? Because it was previously reported he'd be out for a few weeks, I think it means they expect him back the week of March 3rd.

So, its not his head or feet/toes. And it's a "few weeks”. That really narrows things down then.
Our medical expert posters are now required to provide guesstimates of what means.

Heard on TSN1200 this morning that he's injured? I missed the game on Saturday. Was said to be limping out of the arena. :(

Anything official?
He seemed to be limping a bit when he was walking down the hall to the dressing room. I assumed it meant ankle or knee but could be groin. I am not a med expert.

Rib would make sense. A broken or dislocated rib is a motherf***er to deal with. I've had a few. One from being cross checked by an overzealous ass in a friendly floor hockey game when I was younger. Another was from roller skiing when I attempted to stop on some grass and my ski caught and I basically did a barrel roll. If he's out for a few weeks it is probably is rib related. I don't know why I didn't think of that given my own history with ribs

He's definitely a big part of our team. But I also think the boys are capable of winning in his absence.

Broken ribs are the worst. Probably my worst injury from the perspective of impossible to do anything.
