hope he is going to make his debut on Friday in Chicago as I am going to be there
 
This guy has a very strong personality and if the isles try to tame him then i think they are idiots. Part of what makes ho sang enjoyable to watch is that he plays big and he comes across as such. I personally welcome this and think , if the isles let him, he can be an impact player.

He has a little Patrick Kane in him, not the same player talent wise obviously. He needs to learn the pro game still and fit the system which he has been doing lately and no coincidence the points are starting to come.
 
By looking the pics on the Islanders twitter account, it seems that Ho-Sang was playing on a line with Prince and Nelson (all three were wearing the orange sweater if that's an indication). Quine is out with an injury (day-to-day). Not sure if Clutterbuck is ready to be back but I guess not, so I think we are going to see that line-up tomorrow :

Lee-Tavares-Bailey
Prince-Nelson-Ho Sang
Ladd-Beauvillier/Strome-Chimera
Kulemin-Beauvillier/Strome-Gionta
 
I think Weight is the perfect coach for him right now. Will hold him accountable but will also be in his ear a lot.

Uhhhh...I'd much rather have Barry Trotz back there, but WEight is a hell of a lot better than capuano who wouldn't play him nor teach him.
 
Very excited to watch him play tomorrow. I would love to see him play with Strome but as long as he is getting ice time I am happy.

Let's see what this guy has.
 
My impression of Ho-Sang, with the limited amount I have seen him live, is that the players around him have to get use to his style. I think that may be the reason why he wasn't putting up numbers earlier this year. I believe he had the same issue in juniors where he would start the year slow and wind up with good numbers in the end. That has to change if he wants to stay.

As I've stated before, he has some of the best puck handling skills I've ever seen. But it gets him into trouble when he tries to do too much, which is often. JT is incredibly strong on the puck, which is why he gets himself out of jams. Ho-Sang is not even close to being there yet and unless he simplifies his game, I think he will struggle here. I hope I'm wrong.

As in a mentor for a younger player. It's well known that Weight is very hands on and vocal with younger players.

For a guy making his debut and first taste of the NHL I think Weight is good for him. Cappy, not so much. I just saw an interview with Weight on Ho-sang and everything he was saying was great. He wants him to play his game and doesn't want to throw so much at him right away and he will coach him throughout the games on assignments and such. Also, he's not going to win the Hart or Art Ross in 1 game. He's earned it. Ect

Could you picture Cappy saying any of that?
