Would you trade Josh Anderson to LA for Gabriel Vilardi and one of their RHD.

Montreal does this because Anderson was rumored to be on the trade block last year and allows them to clear his large salary. They acquire a young up-and-coming center and a RHD which would push one their young D to Laval.

LA does this to get a big physical winger to replace Brown for 2 players who might have to be put on waivers anyway

Kings have no cap space so no, they don't do this

Montreal is stuck with Anderson and his contract for at least this year. Anyone who can use him has zero space to take him without serious retention, cap swaps and/or cap maneuvers to make it work.
Apart from the cap issues, LA doesn’t need forwards but LHD
LA declines

Yeah Kings' needs are young/bluechip LHD and young/bluechip goalie.

Everything else right now is filled from within. There is zero need for veteran wingers, especially.

The upcoming core for the Kings is 19-23 year old and we trade away a 23 year old, who just breaks out, for a 28 year old garbage winger.

Well played sir

Vilardi on waivers.... geez

The Habs need a RHD more than anything and will probably try to get one on waivers. I'm guessing an affordable veteran to eat up some minutes and help with the kids like Barron and Harris. They already have a surplus of forwards so Vilardi doesn't help them. Besides, I think the Habs GM likes Anderson.

Umm if anything is going to look better with cap going up. You’ll have to sign an equivalent player to 6M+ in 2 year

A lot of people in here acting as if vilardi is still a top prospect…

No way! Big heavy players are hard to play against. Something Montreal needs this season.

If Habs retained 50% and added a 2nd, maybe LAK doesnt rehect instantly
But Villardi is likely more coming back than Habs get for getting someone to relieve tham of that contract

Groan, you're coming after Vilardi simply because Kings fans say it's not a fit?

Don't worry, I think we'll be able to find another 28-year-old 35-point forward making less than 6 million somewhere in the next two years. Anderson is all yours.

No chance LA does this.

LA will need to move a RHD or two, but I think they should be look for draft capital (that can be used on future deals) or waiver exempt prospects in return. There is a log jam of players.

We do have plenty of LHD too.
We are more looking to fill a spot at RHD than we are looking to move Anderson.

Edmundson(w/ possible retention), Harris, Leskinen, Norlinder & Strubble, who would you want and who would you offer ?
EDIT: Ghule, Xhekaj, Matheson & Hutson are probably out of the equation...
