I don't think Washington is interested, but Washington definitely could be

meanwhile Winnipeg jetted from the conversation

In your head, rent free
If a team offers a top prospect and an unprotected 1st montreal would be fools not to snap accept.
Anderson is a 20 goal, 35 points top 9 forward.

You are not getting this value for him. A top 10 protected 1st and a good prospect is more like it, or a player of similar age with some upside (like Max Domi in the case of the CLB-MTL trade).

While he has averaged 21 goals per 82 games onver his career he has only scored 20+ goals 1x in his career. Injury prone, he has a big contract (6 more years at 5.5 per). Very risky trade for any team taking on that contract. Dont see the Habs getting the value to make it worth trading him.

The idea is for him to be paired to either Tuch, Dubois or Wilson, to wreck things.

Is there a team interested?
Doubt Habs trade Anderson. He's one of their few good players. Unless overpayment? But I don't know about that

Toffoli they may trade. A lot of noise there.

Don't actually think he's available... Can't replace what he brings to the team, still young and contributing. Unless the Habs were getting an absolute haul for him, they're just as well off to keep him through the rebuild.

While I see no reason to trade him, he is over the average age for an NHL player especially a crash and bang winger. Likely on the downside of his career now.

bullshit. he's not available. it's same OP with these trade takes over and over again.
17 is what the habs have been searching for forever. He's 27 and part of the future. He wants to be in Mtl,
and has familiarity with MSL. Hughes isn't trading him.
there are at least 10 guys who will be dealt before him lol

we? it's always the same dude

as mentioned he's not available. He's taken on a leadership role and has been - along with toffoli - the most forthcoming about the team's efforts of late. There's many guys who will be dealt before him, or i think Toffoil, for that matter

I would, I started this thread, so if you don't like it, go away I guess?

A good place
The thing is, teams aren’t clamoring for meh players from bad teams. I can’t see Josh Anderson being as valuable as some think he is.

I think at least one GM would overpay for the prospect of having that kind of powerforward even if he's inconsistent at time. But yeah, we should keep him as his value may be lower than usual right now.

He's not putting great numbers this year, but he still is a special player, a 6'3 230lbs wrecking ball that can change the course of a play.
There's not a lot of player who can do what he can (Tuch is one) and that's why the price to get him would be a bit higher than what you'd probably think of as a "fair price".

Yeah because Toffoli is coming off 2 pretty solid years (especially last one) and on a solid, cheap contract. also was a key piece of the cinderella run.

Those guys are worth a little fortune in the NHL. Anderson on the contrary is injury prone, on a long-ish and expensive contract and he has an extremely tunneled vision with the puck. He's a freight train. If he had a year or two left I'd see a team add him as a depth piece, but right now he fits montreal's rebuild plans
