Problem with Anderson he lost half a step, and low IQ, I like the guy and the player, but he should have been traded. He is a good tough power forward, but I don't think is top 6.

Sweet -4 today.

It's a little crazy how bad he's been this year.

He's never been a superstar but he was at least noticable when not getting points.

Now he doesn't get points and doesn't do anything really.

I wonder if he's playing hurt or maybe all the injuries have caught up to him and this is what he is now?

I don't know but he played well last year with RHP, the best hockey of his career statistically.

So why hasn't MSL gone back to that duo this year???? Gotta get Pearson and Armia a lot of ice time??

In love with who? Would have you preferred the BargainBin? That's him who got you the perfect skilled grinder. You still need to ice a team and unfortunately the Habs have nothing.
Long as you see these mistakes and realize future will hold more. Anderson/Allen mistakes alone he's Lost two first picks and carrying 9.5 million in wasted caproom. For next few years.

He's not building right. Hughes made too many mistakes to get to cup. No sense patching it up to finish 27th and draft future #2 d-man. When 3 franchise centers at top of draft. He's made cardinal mistakes.

Same mistakes that his predecessor was making. The Habs have a problem. They can't develop players. He's a rookie GM but way better than others currently in the league. Give it some time. Then we can argue. He got Monahan, Newhook and Dach. What did the BargainBin do better apart of patching holes? Ah yes, the Drouin experiment and Anderson fiasco. Clearly, the plan is to build through the draft, no more resets or re-tooling.

You're out of touch with reality if you think Allen was EVER getting a first. Anderson we'll never know as that might have been a plant in the media to drive up prices.

Did he? Outside of clickbait articles? I doubt anyone would've picked him for free on waivers at either of those two deadlines. He's never been worth his contract.
Yeah going to guess it's just them trying to create value where there wasn't.

2 x 1st round picks? You actually believe Allen would return a 1st? What's next, Dvorak will return a 1st. Bergevin left this organization with garbage vets for the most part. It's fantasy to think all these guys are returning 1sts.

if true, well Hughes missed the boat big time not trading Anderson. Lack of vision there.

I think it’s a mix of things, but if there’s one player that hasn’t benefited from MSLs (and I say this with being mostly happy with Marty) way of “playing the game that’s in front of you”, it’s Andy.

If he ever was a powerhorse to begin with, he now looks like a guy with an identity crisis. He always knew only one thing and it was skate hard, drive the net. Now he’s being asked to try and pick the best option, think about passing, don’t take bad penalties (no more big hits on the forecheck)… That guy has no hands, no vision — he’s not cut out for complicated schemes and open plays. He’ll always do better in a tight system, north-south and always the same thing kind of line.

It’d be best for both parties to move on honestly. He’ll be better elsewhere and maybe we can still get a decent return before he’s too old and hasn’t performed for too long.
