Leafs down 3-0 and Habs hit the crossbar, McMann goes the other way and scores to get the Leafs on the board.

If that shot goes in it is 4-0 and who knows how it ends.

Some great saves tonight

I like his resilience despite his recent struggles. A lot of carry the load with Stolarz injured but he’s fared well. Really his first crack at a full time gig. Lots of development to be had here.

24 starts now on the season, we are heading into the unknown with him now. 23 starts was the career high previously in his short NHL career so far. I have liked what I have seen, though. Some downs here and there, and I'd like to see him higher than .907 but he has had several highs also. He is coming along nicely, imo.

I didn’t really like his game lately and thought the control and focus wasn’t there, early goals, etc. but the last two periods in Montreal he looked like a money goalie who wouldn’t break. Give him a lot of credit for that.

He's gotten all the hard workload after Stolarz went down. The team hasn't looked great in the last month either. Woll has been really keeping us alive even if the save % is down.

From a trust standpoint he's earned in between the pipes. Health wise, yeah he's proving it as well.

No goaltender is perfect. Even the best allow some weak goals from time to time. We've been spoiled this year with great goaltending performances and any less than that we lose our minds it feels like. We need that kind of goaltending with how the team has been playing lately, especially defensively.

The team infront of the goaltenders need to be better. The start of that game was awful and can't happen, but a game is 60 minutes for a reason.

Grant Fuhr-like performance from Woll last night. Bent but then shut the door as the Leafs won an eighties-style game.
I have no worries about Woll. Incredible blend of positioning, technical skills, athleticism and humbless. Hes fun to watch. Hes a better goalie than Stolarz which I think we will see as they play more games.

Seeing that diving save and him wearing the Cujo tribute mask, made the play that much more fun. Even though DaveArt butchered it as he usually does with masks.

The man has had a lot of work and "emotional games."

This is correct, and I applaud Woll for getting a break whether he asked for it or it was the coaching staff. Utterly insanity how hard Woll has had to backpack. The stats have fallen off, but how many crazy saves has he made?

Making saves when the Leafs have like 2 shots on net is a lot harder. Basically the Leafs need to play better defensively and play with more consistency on offence. We're going down 3-0 to the Habs and asking Woll to backpack the comeback.

I don't know if it was emotional or more mechanical and demonstrating control in the face of something that in the past might be addressed with a more emotional approach/player?

These scenarios will arise; The backpack comeback is what we need from a goalie tandem if we're going to be a complete contender. Shouldn't be the norm, but again, it seems we have a different mindset this year and its consistent with an improved approach.

I guess last night was a pretty good indicator of how far away we are from being a contender. Woll showed us the only way we are going to be a contender. Berube amd Tre have a lot of work to do.

Woll's managed to stay a lot healthier than I thought he would.

With him being a bit off the last few games maybe they give him the Auston Matthews special. Give him a sabbatical and tell everyone he's hurt. This guy gets injured taking a sponge bath.

Everybody will believe it if they say he's got tightness in the nether regions again.

Let Murray have a few games in the NHL. Just in case he's needed in the playoffs. Murray's been outstanding for the Marlies.

It's looking like a return to the NHL is inevitable at some point.

I could see the Leafs committing to Woll over Stolarz. Maybe trading Stolarz this summer while his value is high. Run a Woll/Murray tandem with Hildeby and HawkTuahmov as the AHL relief.

So long as Woll remains healthy he can steal them a series all on hia own.

The Eichel goal says it all, he isn't playing with confidence, he's wwwaaaayyyy too deep in his crease. He will be fine though, just going through it, a young pro who's adjusting to a long season. His movement is uncharacteristic as well, it's a slump. Relax.

There’s something Jonathan Bernier about him the way he doesn’t seem to be awake early in the game and forces the team to play from behind. Can’t say I’m a fan of his game lately and don’t trust him at all.
