Jagr is also a big fan of Josefson, for what it's worth.
Josefson has 40 points in 62 career AHL games, which is pretty good. He shows flashes on the big team, and just turned 23 in March. There's still hope.
I agree.
I also think there is a pretty good chance he is the starting 3rd line center this season. He should also have some pretty ok wingers to play with from the 3rd line.
I like to see him find some chemistry with a linemate and pop a few early
Ya he should of at least one of the big boys, and maybe one of Brunner or Ryder too.

I think I'd prefer both of the big boys.
Ruutu-Josefson-Zubrus
They're probably both going to be playing center.Zubrus and Josefson on the 3rd line together could quite possibly be one of the most offensively allergic 3rd lines in the league. It wouldn't be bad as a 4th line though.
I'd rather Josefson play with Elias.
They're probably both going to be playing center.
I feel like I'm trying to solve a rubik's cube every time I try and assemble workable lines with this roster.
I give up trying to figure out who should play with who until bodies are on the move.
Hope this gets cleaned up before training camp, when everyone else is trying to shed players, as well.
Elias and Josefson.I don't think so, cause you just know Gionta will be playing center. Even though he really shouldn't be.
Or do you mean both Elias and and Josefson will be playing center? Wasn't sure if your meant both Josefson and Zubrus or Josefson and Elias.
Ruutu-Josefson-Brunner
Gives him somebody with some skill who can score on one wing, and somebody who can muck it up in the corners on the other. Putting Josefson between two grinders would be kind of pointless if we want him to start doing something offensively.
Hopefully this at least means that cockroach Bernier will be an extra healthy scratch forward, or possibly even demoted to the AHL like Olesz last year.
A lot of people have been saying Bernier will be the extra, but I'm skeptical considering DeBoer's fascination with him and long leash. Though we did see that he finally benched him a few games last year, so if he really stinks up the joint in preseason maybe he really will be sent down.
And Josefson with Elias and Henrique can't be a line because none of them play right wing.
Did Josefson play right wing at one point in the AHL or Sweden? Or am I thinking of someone else?
We've used Josefson as a LW. Not sure if he's ever played RW.
But I think, for the most part, we have to assume that Havlat is going to be glued to Elias' wing until he proves he doesn't belong there.
I really don't think havlat is going to be gifted a top 6 spot.
He did indeed play RW with Djurgarden. Mostly in '09-10 when they made the finals. That team had a ******** of centers.Did Josefson play right wing at one point in the AHL or Sweden? Or am I thinking of someone else?
A 2 year deal really intrigues me. Makes me think he'll be given a role outside of the bottom line.
There's no reason why Josefson shouldn't be the 3rd line center on opening night, but knowing Petey, Zubrus or Gionta will get that spot.
