Just for fun here are the other Central Division goaltender numbers against the Avs over their careers.

Oettinger: .915
Fleury: .915
Hellebuyck: .912
Saros: .920
Vejmelka : .898
Mrazak: .922
Binnington: .901

As far as most common opponents go he's right there with Karel Vejmelka. Impressive stuff once again.

Hell, let's do the Pacific Division too. All the Western Conference.

Demko: .856
Stuart: .916
Quick: .916
Talbot: .896
Thompson: .907
Hill: .893
Markstrom: .914
Grubauer: .897
Gibson: .925
Jones: .888

Really, really impressive stuff looking at the opponents Colorado plays the most in any given season.

Edit: all numbers taken from Hockey Reference and Stat Muse. I'm happy to show my work, unlike Blues fans.

If the Avs were playing a decent defensive team with Binnington in the playoffs, they would be damn worried and be right about that. Because love him or hate him he is a fierce competitor. Dumb Shane's dumb point here is that when you average the year Kadri headshotted Faulk and the Blues had no D and got caved, those stats are the real Binnington. That's the whole thing, if you convince yourself that situation's outcome is going to mitigate the outcome the next time you see him in a playoff series, go ahead. Most fans are smarter than that but not all are.

You must've missed the breakdowns of his numbers by opponent and that of other goalies in the Western Conference that regularly play the Avs I posted earlier in the thread. Those all cover longer periods other than just the sweep in the 2021 playoffs. What's the excuse there when we aren't focusing on a total of four games?

His GSAx numbers are more pedestrian than not if you want to take the skaters out of the equation.
