Wonder what they feed those kids over there.

I wonder the same thing. Makes me kinda jealous.

Meanwhile in Finland.. Our best d-prospect that has already been drafted is Sami Vatanen from AHL.

If it makes you feel better, our forward prospects suck ass.

Not really.. A Finnish reporter tweeted that Swedish NHL prospects drafted after 2009 have 139 combined NHL goals.. Finnish prospects have 1, by Mikael mother****ing Granlund.

Let's see... Good mobility and excellent poke-checking ability combined with great hockey IQ.

Might have something to do with the bigger rinks (= having to skate more laterally) and being able to play with adults earlier (17-18 for good prospects), thus learning the pro game earlier.

Here's the scary thing; if we didn't trade Leddy, I don't know if we would have looked at Brodin. We had a hole in our defense because we traded Leddy.

I get the feeling that they liked him enough to still pull the trigger. The only forward even close to that spot would've been Baertschi.

If you don't think Fletcher knew Burns was going to be traded before he picked Brodin. I don't know what to say.

I don't have the link, but I remember reading something Russo posted about Fletcher had interested GM's come into his office around the draft (either earlier that day or a few days beforehand, I can't remember) and give him their best proposal. So the Burns trade was agreed upon before the draft but they wanted it announced after their first pick.

Haven't seen my wife since I mounted a real size poster of Brodin and Suter in our bedroom.

Seriously, no I don't have any posters.... yet.
But we're moving soon and we're going to do some renovation there. Maybe I could surprise her... wallpaper or something :naughty:

Jason Zucker stays in our bedroom from time to time. The gal seems cool with it. *shrugs

that would be awesome and hilarious to see a brodin wallpaper in a room. Or, just a picture of him, tiled all over the wall.
