Johnny Gaudreau: 2015/16 expectations?

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

After an excellent rookie campaign which saw him play a leading role in getting the Flames to the 2nd round of the playoffs, what are your expectations for the diminutive scorer next season?

He finished off the year with 73 points in his last 86 games (including playoffs). Does he have a legit shot at 70-80+ points?

I'll say 56-60 points. With those possession numbers and with some around him shooting at high percentages it should set him back a little.

It all depends on the Flames new additions.

Oh and he'll have a Corsi rating exactly equal to something completely useless and irrelevant.

You don't think those high shooting percentages had anything to do with all the tap in goals Gaudreau set up over the season?

thats not how math works

Hey this is a Hockey forum, take yer math someware else !

I'm optimistic Johnny will break 80 points, but that could be the homerism talking.

i think he, and the team, will hit a sophormore slump, hit 50-60p, then bounce back to 60-70
