Smells like pure propaganda.

Now the Flyers organisation needs to escort Tortorella out of the building completely. Do not gift him with a placement in the FO, let him go back to his TV career for THN. Briere and Jones will need to do their due diligence and screen potential coaches to fill that position for next season. Do NOT keep Shaw and Company of the Current coaching staff, especially their PP coach Rocky! They all need to be fired at the end of the season.

You'd be correct. He was paid through the 23-24 season ($5M/yr) and once he was fired he disappeared off the face of the Earth.

Frank also talked about him too just in general not necessarily related to the Flyers. Essentially said Carle is very cognizant of the turnover rate of NHL head coaches so that a big drawback when considering he’s probably got a life time contract at Denver at this point. To get him to leave it’s gonna have to be a really big offer possibly even beyond just money.

Briere was very transparent that they didn't take him because they have enough small d-men. The agent could have played a role but that reason came straight from the horse's mouth.

Honestly I'm surprised they actually moved on from Tortorella.

The bad thing is I have no confidence they'll hire the right coach next. They should also probably continue to suck because having a shot at McKenna next year is franchise-altering. That said, if you suck while having a coach that can develop our young players and see promise for the future (ala 06-07), that's a huge difference compared to someone like Tortorella actively destroying careers. Not like we didn't all see that coming the day he was hired.
