He's still certainly been part of that lines success the last 2 games (that screen on the first goal deserved an assist IMO) and has had a few great chances meet up with great saves while being solid on the dot.

Except that he remains money on faceoffs. John will be fine. I still wouldn't resign him, but I know that's a lost cause.

Florida won last nights game on a couple fluke bounce goals.
I expect another strong game from the Leafs tomorrow night.

Would it make sense, if he does not resign in Toronto to go to Buffalo for a couple seasons before he rides off into the sunset? Close to home. They have cap and roster space. No pressure.

He had a great reg season but he's a 3C and maybe 1st PP guy un the playoffs

He shouldn't be back but if we do not a $ more than 4M

Duchene is a comparable player making 3M on Dallas. He also sucks in the playoffs like Tavares

Well I don’t think he can come back after this finish but the season went better than I expected and he showed some real battle in him. I haven’t liked his game that much over the years but respected his 2024-25 season. But it’s time to turn the page.

Felt like yesterday when he got signed - there was so much hope.

Now it's 7 years later and he played through his entire contract, and all we got were 2 playoff series wins. I don't know if he comes back, I wouldn't mind if the price was right, but it's just crazy how this entire tenure flew by and we basically got nothing from it.
