I hope Miller does great but I'm almost ready to write a plaque saying "Should have kept Bernier".
Whys that? Bernier isn't an upgrade on Gibson or Miller, and there's no way he would have gotten through waivers to play in San Diego.

Miller has been great when called upon this season, and could probably still be a starter in the NHL if he wanted to - Miller would be pretty low on my list of worries tbh. If anything sinks us these final 30ish games I highly doubt it's goaltending.

Agreed. Miller had decent numbers behind some really bad Vancouver teams. He'll probably be all right behind Anaheim.

As I posted in the "Former Ducks" thread, Colorado's new goalie coach, Jussi Parkkila, helped Bernier to significantly improve his technique during the offseason. There's no guarantee that Bernier would've had a similar impact had he stayed here, even though I have no reason to doubt the competence of our current goalie coach.

Miller may be 37, but he's still a borderline #1 goalie in the NHL. On top of that, he's only played 14 games this season, plus he specifically chose to come to Anaheim to possibly finish his career (he'll be 39, when his contract ends).

I expect Miller to be well rested, energized and motivated. I believe he'll do just fine during Gibson's absence.

Ryan Miller has done nothing but play great just about every time when called upon and we're bringing up Bernier? The only concern for me is the b2b's and we have to play Berra or someone else

That's not a realistic option. We were never going to keep all three goaltenders, and we would have lost Bernier if we tried to send him to the AHL. Bernier had his opportunity in Anaheim. Miller is the better goaltender.

Check out his twitter profile. He’s usually about 95% correct on injuries simply on video. I follow him for fantasy football reasons, but he’s usually pretty accurate. He used to be the team Doctor for the SD Chargers.

I have a dream that we can get Gibby signed for 6 mill. He's probably in the 6.5-7 ranged realistically though.
That feels right to me as well and could be a steal in a few years. it will be interesting to see how Gibson does next year. It seems to me like he has the potential to be the best goalie in the league for a long time.
