With a compressed season and short training camp, we're going to see a lot of injuries and load management days. It's great to have legit NHL depth on the roster so that you can rest some guys on back to backs and you're not forced to play the likes of Gauthier, Petan and Marincin.

Literally no one here thinks that Vesey is going to do anything. In fact, most, including myself think he’ll be riding pine or a stud on the Marlies.

Locker room presence is the big win here. Joe will command respect as soon as he walks through the door and if he notices any of the kids dragging their feet or looking disinterested he will call them out for it. There will be no nights off for anybody next year.

Depth is going to be key this year. Lots of games in a short period of time. Guys will need rest and there will be injuries. Being able to rotate NHL players in and out of the lineup will be huge. This is another reason the Dell signing will be bigger than people anticipate.
