Who do you guys thing Sakic’s best modern day comparable is in terms of play style!?

Patrice Bergeron. Quiet but stoic leadership along with a will to win by doing all the little things to the best of his ability. Also as clutch in big games as there is. League-wide respect for the class and cleanliness of his game as well.

I don't think there's a great comparable for him today.

The way Draisaitl can snap the puck off in stride and off the wrong foot like lightning reminds me of him. That's about it though.

I would say Draisaitl also, just that Draisaitl is a bigger version. It just seems like both of them move the same way, seems like they slow the game always have their head up and make really good passes, and when they shoot it looks like they have all the time in the world to "charge" their shot and it's always hard and deadly.

Draisaitl

Maybe Brayden Point? Obviously, lots of career to go for Brayden to get to that level. But y'know he scores a lot of goals and wins cups

I mean, prime Toews wasn’t too far off. Shitstorm incoming.
Sakic currently sits at almost twice as many career points as Toews. The way things are trending, Toews will barely get to 1000 career points.

Was prime Toews scoring at near a 1.26 ppg, like Sakic did in the dead puck era?
Sakic was a point per game even after he stuck his fingers in the whirring blade of a running snow blower.
