It might still be. Other than what Brooks wrote, there's no confirmation anywhere else.

If the Rangers sign him, that puts them at 49 contracts. I'm wondering if there's something else in the works and Vesey is a body to replace someone we are losing. Probably nothing crazy. It could just be that some team has an interest in Gauthier and is willing to give us something for him.
