We missed Faulk out there. Hainsey out on the ice in the last 3 minutes just bee lining pucks into shin guards

My thoughts exactly, single-handedly killed most of our chances. Still, extra man for 2 min and we got 1 shot through? Pretty pitiful finish by the team after piling on so many great chances in the 3rd

I'm still beside myself. What was Tennyson trying to accomplish? He did a drive by and didn't even make a play at the ****ing puck. Absolutely pathetic

We had young players making young player mistakes. Aho taking a pot shot after gaining the zone, Slavin failing to spearhead a real attack from his own end, turnovers in the neutral zone. Hainsey doesn't have the youth excuse though... he's just not competent offensively.

That second goal also looks like it's on Tennyson. He's with his man on the goal line, goes up to the boards where there are already two Canes battling for the puck, shows up late, puck gets down to his man, his man makes an easy pass for a goal. Just stupid play

If I had to guess I'd say a lot of people around the league who watched this game tonight come out of it being pretty impressed with this team. That's not the same as the 2 points, but hey, this wasn't the Islanders at home either. Penguins have a pretty bad-*** squad.

Just want to remind y'all that Tennyson was the guy we were making fun of as a "who?" player entering the season. The fact that it's taken this long for him to really be exposed is actually kind of a credit to him. This is a guy who was supposed to captain the Checkers.

Hello, Pens fan here. Your future is bright. I don´t know how we managed to win this one in regulation. This was a tired and depleted Penguins team that went incredibly lucky and got a great goaltending. Canes really played extremely well and deserved so much more from this game.

Penguins are a very good, maybe even great team. Great teams win those kinds of games. Teams like the Canes learn from losing to teams like that. It was like the Penguins could flip a switch and turn it up a notch at will.

Ok, rage period over. I think most people were expecting a loss before the game began anyway, so the end result is the same.

Credit to Sullivan for lighting a fire under his team going into the 3rd. The Canes played well, but at some point the talent gap becomes a factor if both teams are at full intensity.

Interestingly he fought for the Taliban (against Russia) in the 3rd one.

Well, I mean, the US did sort of indirectly back them during the 80s and early 90s, they were seen as the noble savages fighting off the Russian war machine. Plus I'm sure there was some oil interests going on there too. Wasn't until later on we figured out the Afghans didn't see a difference between the US and Russia, they just wanted everybody to GTFO.
