Just another great effort from this team. Thought we just dominated the first and didn't get rewarded. They then decided to slog it out which I am fine with and they did a good job all night of limited 2nd chances. Helly has been great but hasn't needed to be other worldly yet. Thought Jmo had a fantastic game. All the D men were solid. Nice 3rd man high from our forwards all night and I don't think the Oilers had anything off the rush.

Tell you the truth I thought we were dead on the Stanley penalty call but man they battled hard on the PK. Not going to complain about the reffing it does go both ways I would rather it be settled 5 on 5 anyways.

We can put the dagger in them in game 3. Play the same way, win or lose.

Wow talk about shifting gears for the playoffs. Now that’s a lockdown… mcjesus with not even a point? Power play and 5on3, what a kill. Gotta say, impressive play by the Jets and Helle. That was a solid disciplined game. I wonder if the oilers switch things up but I honestly did not think the jets were capable of this level of play based off what was happening last month. They are still lacking offensive edge but somehow find ways.

Hell of a time to put it all together. Another good game from your boys.

Teaching the young Oilers core some hard, necessary lessons. Good luck on the next one guys.
As I’ve mentioned here before, in my time with HF Oilers I’ve found the majority of you to be really classy, hard core fans. Very similar to what HF Jets have here.

I am familiar with you from the Oilers Board but want to reply as I think it’s important to recognize the goodwill gestures Members make.

It speaks volumes about your character as a person imho.

The offence still isn't there for the Jets, IMO, but they've given themselves all the time they needed to get Ehlers back, and two (visually) solid wins have them committed to a better structure and system (even if I'm a bit pessimistic on how much it hurts their own chances). 44-2 pairing is such a huge difference to this team - 64-3 looks like a very solid third pairing that could team up well with whichever line gets to play a bit more offensively.
Smith played a great game though. We had a lot of good chances.

And as expected, here come the 'I can't believe we are losing the series to such a trash team' comments by Coiler fans.

The thing is the Oilers are not a good team. I think Oiler fans know this too but they got caught up in the ridiculous media hype.

They have McDavid and then everyone else. He's the only one you really need to stop on that team as he can be a team all by himself. He is capable of taking over a game by himself so have to see what he does in game 3. If he does, it's a series. If he can't get going, they're done. At that point the the media has to act all shocked and eat crow how a pretty well balanced and deep team, who was in second place all year (and challenging for first place most of it mind you until they hit a really rough spot), won the series.
