...but we came through in the end. Very nice send-off to Dennis Beyak, he will be missed. The Jets will be cleaning out their lockers tomorrow. Some will be heading to the World Championships, most will be heading back home, and maybe if we are lucky, the coaching staff will be heading here...

Great to see a bang bang bang comeback, but it was also great to see all the love for Beyak and to watch him give it back. 11 years, I’m going to truly miss him calling games.

I remember when it became official about the Jets coming back, how I went through all the little rituals in my head about all the new memories I'd be making. And while some of them didn't last long ("Oh cool, 4Play is gonna be my game-day hangout!"), the gradual process of coming to love Beyak's little quips and mannerisms gave me over a decade of those anticipated memories. There will be lots of tight turns, lots of milestone magic in any three digit prime number or any perfect squares (i.e. "A pair of Ns"), and of course, all those BIIIIIIIIIG players -- and big plays to boot! Roasting the trigger happy Colorado goal horn announcer, always giving a shout-out to the Ukranians on Malanka.. he took our hearts to the blue line; no further :( but as other memories have come and gone, so too will we find a whole new voice to hang our hopes on.

55 announcing moments ago that he needs to see the organization’s “vision” going forward to know if he wants to stick around.

Well this statement will do nothing to stop the talk that he want's out. Something is definitely up with him and while I want to keep him around with a supposed incoming new staff a change of scenery might happen.

Scheifele claims his game has never been better……really? Wow.

Regardless, seems clear he’s not into a tear down and rebuild. Will be interesting to see what it is he needs to hear. I’d more interested in what Chevy needs to hear from Scheifele to see what his options are.
Mark sounded cluelessly unaccountable during that whole Q&A.

So many "me me me I I I" in those quotes. You are under contract for 2 more years, sit your ass down boy, you are in position to be active indignant with defensive effort that we saw this season.

Yeah, it's tough not to read between the lines when a player comes across so selfish.

It's tough for me because of the sentimentality and the romanticism of Scheifele hoisting the cup as the Jets first draft pick.
