How has Big Fat Goalie looked? Forgot that we had a game, so I went to the gym. From what I've seen, Scheifele is looking good again.

2nd period thoughts

Tangradi - O'Dell - Klingberg were GREAT. All the 3 having a real good game here, particularly Klingberg, IMO (just due to expectations differences). He NEEDS to have a big bounce back season and the signs look great right now.

Wright - Scheifele - Frolik looked real solid as well. Scheifele is settling in and Frolik looked good. Wright is Wright, makes some nice plays, useless in the o-zone.

Kane still can't work a PP. Jokinen and Seto were just so-so.

Is Telegin being punished for being injured? Not fair to him, how can make an impression with those two on your line?

Postma had a little bit of trouble, up and down game today.

Clitsome looked real good.

Melchiori hasn't played much, but have been REALLY impressed with what I saw in him so far, smart plays, winning battles, nice passing.

Trouba has been solid, but not unreal. Would like to see a bit more actually.

If guys like Klingberg and O'Dell step up (not necessarily only in camp but during season in St. John's as well) maybe we can ditch enforcers Thorburn and Peluso earlier than we thought. What a great day that'll be.

Jets outshooting the Oilers 26 - 15. Really turned up the heat in the 2nd. Nice little scoring chance by Scheif as he drove to the net. Liking Scheifele and Frolik together, I just wish Wright had even a SLIGHT bit of finish around the net. Put Halischuk on that line - that'd be a very good 3rd line IMHO. Halischuk - Scheifele - Frolik.

Oilers really don't have many of their A players here so it's tough to make a judgement, but I am liking the fact that the players are starting to put their games together.

If Frolik and Halischuk are given offensive opportunities, look out! Nice upgrades!

This team sure has a lot of speed now.

yes!

if this team can have Wright and Slater as press box guys we'd be better off - don't see a Slater replacement tho re faceoffs

I wouldn't mind seeing

Tangradi/Scheif or Jok/Frolik
Halischuk/slater/Peluso

As our bottom six. We've got some bottom 6 depth people! I mean, it's a start!

With Scheif likely losing A LOT of faceoffs, we'll more then need Slater's faceoff ability. No way we'll be better off losing 60% of our team draws that way.

Frolik interview rehash, So Mr Frolik would you say that was the Jets best period this preseason so far? Frolik: Yeah I'm here now, the team is much better.

He's looked OK so far. Has not had to make any real big saves.Almost gave up a goal trying to handle the puck but that's nothing new. That guy seriously needs to stay in his net. If he didn't play the puck a single time this year I would be perfectly fine with that.

We got Frolik for a 3rd and a 5th round pick.....I believe we are going to look back at that as a good move.

I feel like Mark can play with KSS or with Frolik on the 3rd line and either way he is going to be dangerous. this is preseason and we are playing a C version of the Oilers but Mark is just more physically ready now. He beat Petry pretty clean 1 on 1 and just about scored and Jeff plays on the number 1 D unit.
