Did the right thing by doing basically nothing and not addressing any of the needs of the team? This team could be an actual contender with some addition and subtraction. Instead he did the exact opposite of what he should have done moving the team forward. He's gotten away with it for almost all of his career as a GM. This trade deadline should be, but won't be because of Chipman, the final straw.

not going to disagree with anything you say but we have one more year with this core. Like Dubas in TO i fully expect him to go that route next year cause his job should be on the line. Hate Toronto but respect what Dubas did.

sorry but I really need to vent. this is such a Mickey Mouse organization. some of the things they've done, like hire Trouba's brother (I'm sure to try to convince him to stay.) I'm sure they also thought, hey, we have PLD's father working for the franchise, maybe that will make him want to stay. It would not surprise me if these were stick boy's ideas. it also would not surprise me if they name StickBoy as our new GM after they fire Chevy. Just absolute garbage the way this franchise has been run.

We waited and we waited for the team to become a contender, and we got what, one, maybe two years as a contender, despite having Vezina calibre goaltending. it's pretty clear this organization has no idea how to run a successful team.

for whatever reason, this season stings more than others. got off to a good start, and then, as some have mentioned here, this team seemed to fall apart after going to Montreal. while they were in Montreal, PLD seemed more interested in having a press conference to announce his new charity, than playing hockey.

I have a ticket to the game on Monday, and at the very least I will be wearing my jersey inside out. I'd wear a shirt saying "Fire Chevy", but they probably wouldn't allow it.
