Probably a good choice by Arniel to play Helly tonight given the Jets records in back to backs. Get the 7 pt cushion on #2 in the division.

Pretty structured game not a lot of breakdowns. Good battle level, love all the guys blocking shots in front of Helly. Just waited for opportunities.

Top guns were catalysts, they were buzzing. Vilardi is feeling it, loved listening to his pregame interview on CJOB.

Can't say enough good things about Adam Lowry.

Barron had a real nice game, his speed on the PK is an asset.

I thought the defense had a pretty clean game with the puck, and in front of their goalie. For only his 2nd game Coghlan was noticeable. That's going to be a tough call to bring Ville back in.

Probably a pretty good time for those in the barn. Nice way to end 2024 at home.

Cheers!

Remember back to FA frenzy, how everyone crowned the Preds having the best summer in the NHL, were then crowned cup favourites………..I’m never sad about not having any big FA signings in July, I swear it’s a trap for GM’s.
It often is and I’m glad the Jets are typically out of those shitty July 1 UFA deals (whether by choice or not).

Stanley rated out quite high across all measures tonight.
It's crazy to me how people just see what they want to see

He rates high across most metrics all season

I like the Stan Pionk experiment. Interesting to see if Arniel goes with it again against the Avs.
I wonder. Neither one has looked very good alone vs the Avs lately

DeMelo earns his first "Star" of the season. This photo is from before tonight's game. Taken from Jets Game Day Notes.
The 3 Stars were: Helle, Vilardi, and DeMelo

What intern is in charge of compiling and sorting this data, because it is a mess. Just...just sort it by totals. Get it together Larry!

Shit what to do tomorrow?

Jets and Canada play at the same time. PVR WORKOUT!

Watch Team Canada live and avoid this forum like the plague. Then watch Jets in lightning mode or the other way around?

Spoilers on here are more likely than the mundane WJHC thread, of course unless one of you goes and destroys that option. :sarcasm:

What y’all doin tomorrow night?

Fell asleep after the first period and was woken up by DeMelo's first goal of the season. After that, the Jets played better. You don't have to thank me, but it would be nice. Great to see Hellebuyck get another shutout and Gabriel Vilardi is just slick in front of the net. I give this game five "Willies" out of five...

The Prediction Contest for the game against the Avalsmash has been posted for your guesses. I have also posted the GDT for Tuesday's game, so enjoy. See you tomorrow! Good night...

Watching the Jets. It is still just the round robin for the WJC.

He has been rough on the eyes at times this season, but he does have a little je ne sais quoi that the Jets aren't giving up on yet. Personally, I like the guy and because he plays for the Jets I want him to succeed. If he gets a spot in the lineup, it should be on merit, is all. Tonight, I also thought he played well, and earned the game against Colorado. Ultimately, every fanbase has their whipping boy and Stan's the man right now.

3/5 Skeletons tonight, Helle with another Bagel, hey you media types the best goalie resides in WPG, Vilardi straight up for PLD would of been worth it, Nik playing great, KFC and Fefe still grooving. Pionk and Tree were A-OK. 4th line tries and that's good enough. A I on the third line works. Jets rolling again big test tomorrow night maybe they finally win the second half of a b2b.

I freaking hate Amazon and Bezos, but I gotta hand it to them, their hockey coverage is far and away superior to Sportsnets national games. Unbiased coverage, to the point and simple broadcasts. I love the 30 mins of pure arena views and sounds leading up to puck drop and how they actually keep the camera views focused on the game/play, none of this BS zoomed in view of a line change while the play is still happening.
