Prospect Info: Jets Prospects

So if the Jets get their all important 1 point tomorrow, do they rest some players? Who do they call up? Lambert, Salo and Ford I imagine. Walton maybe? Is He with the Moose?
Be interesting how that gets sorted out. It kind of seems like Toninato and AJF could be competing with Lambert on the depth chart, the former two have playoff experience, in no room for error situations, and more experience with the head coach.

Lambert seems like he has been a liability defensively for the Moose, but people who watch them more than I do could comment on that. He's the most skilled forward on the depth chart, so maybe the move to RW helps him, depth wise. Might not have Vilardi or Kupari on the ice before the playoffs. And we know Arniel isn't a huge fan of Gustafsson.

Salomonsson too I wonder if he is ahead of Coghlan on the depth chart.

With 9 defensemen the coaches probably want to get Ville in before anyone, I can't even recall the last time he played. Not sure they'll rest more than 3 d-men. Pionk probably stays in the lineup to get back up to game speed after missing some time. Maybe the team gives Schenn some time off with his family before the grind. Assuming the Jets take care of business.

Would be nice to give Salomonsson the ultimate reward of his first NHL game the way Lambert and Chibrikov earned theirs last year.

Will the Jets call up a couple prospects for a taste of the NHL before the season is over like they did last year?
Maybe Lambert, Salomonsson or Bauer

Maybe his health wouldn't allow for it (or maybe he wasn't interested), but I would have liked to see the Jets call up Lucius for the Ducks game, even just to play a couple of shifts.

It would let the guy retire as an NHLer, which would be fitting because he certainly would have become one if he didn't have a rare medical condition.

Bleeding hearts 💕…. Let’s put in the suggestion box that we don’t keep score in the playoffs anymore because one side always feels bad after the game.

Everybody’s feelings are the most sensitive and important things that matter…… Not

This is professional hockey ..,,, let’s leave the soccer moms attitude at the door. Jets are more concerned with the task @ hand and preparing to not lay an egg the 1 st series / like they did last year. Getting to the 2 nd and 3rd round of the playoffs can mean a 15-35 million infusion of capital to the Jets bottom line/ not to mention the good will and upbeat atmosphere throughout the city !

Too bad Lucius had a career ending ailment / diagnosis. Very unfortunate it is for everyone involved.

On a positive note prospect note Barlow has notched it up in the playoffs this year!

Hmmm. The 'task @ hand' on Sunday involved resting a half dozen regulars, but whatever.

I guess it must only be bleeding heart teams that would consider resting players before the playoffs and at the same time building on their reputation of treating players well and someplace players would want to play. Amirite?

Giving Lucius a charity game ( symbolic like the Canada participation pins in gym class) trying to make him into the next Terry Fox / Rudy /Albert ( from the Canadian tire commercials) has more to do with making bleeding heart ❤️ do gooders feel good than him.

Lucius was a good player that got a tough break in life…. I feel bad for the kid!

He played on the world stage for his country and excelled in front of a packed rink at the World Juniors.

Doesn’t matter how big a pity party that you want to throw him to make your self feel good about your self …. It doesn’t change the fact his career is over.

Not sure about it being a pity party, but doing something kind for a player like this is the type of thing that can earn you a stellar relationship as a professional organization that players want to play for.

Well this was a fun exchange. Do we both get participation awards?

BTW: your burn attempt should have used ‘yourself’ not ‘your self’ but don’t worry, you’ll still get the ribbon.

For the last friggin time …. “ I don’t want your Ribbon…. I do not need your Ribbon !!! …. I refuse to wear your Ribbon !!!”

“I won’t wear your Ribbon”!

Take your Ribbon back to St Louis …. I will not conform

BTW….I’m sorry I used the wrong pro noun to your liking. I sincerely hope you don’t cancel me or is the proper term block me on this forum.

I sincerely do not want to hurt your feelings…… because your Feelings are important not just to me but everybody on this forum.

Go Jets Go!!

Jets Win the 1 st series against the Blues in Five games…,

Prospects Walton and He ( Sir name not a pro - noun) will benefit from getting into town and witnessing playoff hockey from the players box)

7g, 8a in 9 games for Barlow in the playoffs for Oshawa this year. That leads all the Jets prospects still playing.
It seemed like Barlow needed a jolt of motivation this season. Four years in the OHL is a long time, and he's been a top goal scorer for the past 3 years. It's not that uncommon for older prospects to have a bit of a dip in their production in the 4th years in juniors. Even Morrissey had a substantial dip in his final junior regular season but picked it up in the playoffs.
