Scored the opening goal and the second goal on tip-ins, second one was right after he laid a huge hit behind the net. His third ended up being the game winner, one-timer from his office on the faceoff dot on the PP.Colby Barlow is having himself quite the opening playoff game. 3 goals and an assist so far after two periods.
Look forward to Yager's production completely drying up next season on the sh1tty moose setup.
(seriously though, I am excited about him)
Yeah no idea what happened at the Moose level thisbyear, but no one emjoys the grind of playing hockey the same way when you are a horrible teamHeisinger needs to do a much better job bringing in some solid AHL vets to support the prospects. Being thrown to the wolves in a losing environment can’t be great for their development.
You want guys who can play effectively, insulate them and show them the ropes of the day to day in professional hockey.
Failure to do so is doing your prospects a grave disservice.
They were one of the worst teams in the AHL for half the season last year. They need a new coach along with better vets.
What is the latest setback? Does anybody know?
Down the drain for Lucius ….. with the rest of the bath water.
Why did the Toronto- torian through $220 down the out house pooper..
He had previously dropped a Lonnie down the hole and he wanted to make it worth his while getting dirty!
No use wasting good $ after Bad $ on Lucius …..
Our 1 st ever Bust of a 1 st round pick since we returned = not 1 NHL game played.
I would say KVes was our first bust but I am splitting hairs I guess. We tried him for 53 games in 21-22 and he had 6 points and that was it for him. I consider him a bust but it depends on the criteria I guess.
Yeah KVes was a pretty big bust. Came from the size and trying to find a power forward era of our drafting.
I know it might create a fire-storm, but I think Heinola has been disappointing, all things considered. The caveat is that most players drafted around his spot (#20) or later have been disappointing.Honestly I would say after Laine we have only had one hit out of the 1st round which is Perfetti. Nobody else has yielded much “yet”.

Lucius was promising, but injuries have perhaps cratered his career.
I don't mind the rest of the picks, yet (Perfetti, McGroarty, Lambert, Barlow). Barlow might be the most iffy based on his regular season, but he's off to a strong playoff start. Maybe just needed a jolt of motivation in his 4th full junior season.
The Jets will be hard pressed to ever match the run of drafting success they had in the Golden Age of Comeau.
