Nehring is red hot in his last 7 games. 6 goals and 5 assists.
I'm really rooting for him to make it eventually, would be an awesome story and I loved all his post draft videos.

Could be a really great character 4th line guy with size if all goes right. Probably will need some time to marinate with the moose.

The Hockey News Future Watch edition has the Jets’ top 10 prospects ranked as follows:

1 - Yager
2 - Lambert
3 - Chibrikov
4 - Barlow
5 - Salomonsson
6 - Freij
7 - Lucius
8 - He
9 - Walton
10 - Julien

I’d have Salomonsson higher. DDV would be in my top 10. I would not have Lucius in the top 10. I’d have Nehring ahead of Julien. This also shows how few prospects the Jets have on D.

I would definitely put Salomonsson higher... probably 1st or 2nd.

Not sure Lucius can really stay in a top 10 considering his injury / illness history.

I think Nehring might be in that top 10. He's had a strong season in the NCAA.

Salomonsson is easily a 1B for me with Yager a 1A.

Lambert/Chibrikov/Barlow are all a tier below.

I think I agree with Yager at #1.

Salomonsson should be #2.

Chibrikov #3.

I think it's over for Lucius.

Walton move up a few spaces? That heater he was on was pretty dope..
Walton's D+1 season NHLe of 0.210 puts him slightly ahead of McGroarty's 0.205, and a bit behind Yager's 0.235. It currently ranks as the 10th best D+1 of Jets draft picks (out of 41 I'm tracking, going back to 2011). Not bad for for a 6th rounder!

Kevin He is 13th with a D+1 NHLe of 0.177 - behind Gustafsson and McGroarty and just ahead of Rashevsky, Lambert and Barlow.

Loponen is 30th with a D+1 of 0.093. Not great for a forward.

Freij is 32nd with 0.089, but he's a defenseman and the NHLe and young player usage in Europe makes things a bit weird. Between Freij and Loponen is Samberg's D+1, so I wouldn't worry much about Freij just yet.

Freij reminds me of a young Morrissey. Just a feeling, but that's where I'm at.

I don't know anywhere near enough on him. I hope he's in the SHL next year or over here on the Moose if he's ready.

He is playing in a men's league this year. Not the top one but still pretty good. I hope he will be with the Moose next year.

I have high hopes for him based on the reports we have had.

He's been injured for a long time.

Ruh Roh
I hope it is not too serious.

Just looking at Walton's numbers...

His peak for point production was after the game on January 8, when he hit 1.78 points/game. He's fallen off that pace a bit to 1.47. His rolling 10 game points/game average is currently 1.48 (peak was 1.74).

He's had points in 46 out of 60 games. He had a 19 game point streak where he put up 46 points (16g, 29a). That's a 2.42 points/game pace.

He doesn't take a ton of faceoffs. Only 55 attempts. But he's 55% on the draw FWIW.

Here's his 10 game rolling average for points/game:
