I wouldnt be surprised if he called it a career in a couple of years.
Hey, gives him more time for golfing...

Barlow with a goal, his linemates had 4 and 5 points so you'd hope to see more for Barlow.

So is Kraskovsky. I guess we can call them a bust when they retire.
Or until we don't have the rights to them anymore, whichever.

Really, he only got 1 goal when his line went off like that? Was there something unusual about the situation?

Yeah he's had a bit of a quiet start to the year. You'd want to see a bit better scoring rates by him.

I haven't seen it posted around here but I stumbled over this interview in my YouTube feed

Jamie Phillips speaks about his time from getting drafted by the Jets to quitting pro hockey and how he's close to finally now get his actual career in sports medicine. He's actually about to be a doctor soon. Apparently, he has a podcast called "goalie science" with another sports doctor or something - FYI.

Highlights involve his stories when he made the playoff trip to Minnesota during Laine's first year with us, on busses with Buff and Patty. About how he felt about his only fight in a Moose jersey, going through the motions in the AHL etc.

To me, the most interesting part was him actually saying that if you're a college commited guy, the worst thing that can happen to you is being drafted by a NHL team. It's not first time kind of news to me that college and the NHL route in some ways don't work together but I have never heard a player put it like that. Starts around 21 minutes.

There's a second part:

Speaks for example openly about the reality of being a young goaltender in the business of the NHL and how killing for your career it can be to be part of a good goaltender depth because you obviously won't get the same opportunites to play. I couldn't help but think about Milic and DD - now I really wonder what they think about Helle's long term extension.

I'd heard about that Jamie Phillips interview a few months ago but hadn't had a chance to watch it until now (I've only watched the first part as of this comment). What I'd heard originally was that it was an interview with a salty player lashing out at his previous team.

After watching it I don't think I can disagree more with that take. I don't think he ever shit on the Jets organization. He talks about the realities of being a minor league player. I think he has legitimate gripes with his BCHL coach where he was relegated to backup not on merit but because the other guy was committed to a perceived better college program.

This is really the only part where I really had any thoughts or disagreements. I understand where he's coming from in that there's just so few goaltending spots in pro hockey but that's also where agents (or in college players cases "advisors") come in and help you strategically decide when to go pro. It sounds like he got either bad advice or just no advice.
It doesn't have to be so cut and dry that anyone would think it would have been better to just be undrafted. There's downsides to being undrafted too. Getting drafted is the foot in the door for most players.
