Once again, the organization is blowing it. This time, it might cost them retaining PLD long term.

PLD and Connor are pissed and have mirroring statements about effort/coaching. You do not chase those guys out of town.

I’m hoping management is listening to Connor and Dubois. The team has a chance to change the culture and these guys should be the leaders. Haven’t heard much from wheeler and Shif especially like these statements

There is a stench on this team. Current leaders need to go. Dubois, Connor, Ehlers, Morrissey and Helly need to lead the next few years. Clean out the coaching staff and maybe draft someone who can play. Been awhile

Why in the F**k is Stan taking all the heat for this team when they all play like garbage in the Dzone?
If you want to dial in a the D, take a look at Pionks game tonight - he lost every battle he was in and coughed up the puck a dozens times - and he does that at a rate of $6M / yr.
Tearing down the guys that actually shows up in a year where nobody shows up - he lacks the skill but he at least has the heart. There's lower hanging fruit out there if you give the core even a casual glance.
And honestly, I don't care if they pull him and put in another young d hopeful - no issue what's so ever.
But you don't have to justify the move by dragging down players that are at least working out there.
Players aren't stupid, if many of us fans can pick apart just how awful the Jets systems are then no doubt the players know as well. Just more confirmation that the players are fed up with how the Jets coaches are doing things. Chevy and Chipman you damn well better be listening and ready to make full scale changes to the on ice template. All of your key players have now voiced their frustrations with it.
As I said before if ownership and management is really paying attention this just might be the swift kick in the ass they need to modernize their approach and and systems to where all the good teams are going.
As for the game, effort was good but our special teams were bad. Along the systems line we generated some good looks off the rush (Yes Lowry lets not try to be a rush team cringe...). The issue was once we gained zone control we were didn't generate anything and we had a the puck a lot. The Rangers aren't a good defensive team but we did nothing to pull them out of shape with switches and more advanced cycles. Just the same boring dmen staying on the points and our forwards three man cycling on the perimeter. Any wonder our offensive players are pissed and not listening.

Make no mistake about it having players venting to the media is not a good sign, it's up to management to nip this talk in the bud as soon as the season is over and clean house and then have exit meetings expressing what will be done to this team to make them better
I legitimately don't care but how in the world does this happen:
A 3 on 0 down low while you are on the PK, seriously? How do 3 rangers manage to get below their guys? It's not a one off either. This is a pattern with them all season.
Our stationary line at the blue line wasn't properly set so instead of them being forced to dump in we gave them a free lane to the outside and since everyone was stationary their players in motion easily got behind ours. More crap systems and bad execution.
Unfortunately that is not saying much. They still got shoutout, out hussled and obviously outscored

On the upside the Jets will be playing hockey in May again…on the downside it’s only because of scheduling problems.
This team has listened to wheeler and shif for too long. Their opposition is getting louder and louder. Just like the Bonny M song
I will just say it but could Chevy have gotten it anymore wrong with Lowry as interim. Maurice was at least moving towards a more modern and aggressive scheme before the skid that lead to him quitting. Lowry has just gone right back to the ultra old school and conservative mindset and the players aren't having any of it. What a colossal blunder on his part. One wonders if he really should be given the responsibility to find the next coach.

They goalied their way to the playoffs, but since the trade deadline they've been elite by any metric. Carolina will be a tough matchup but if they can beat them it bodes well for us.
