Yeah, it's a Catch-22 for sure: gotta play Helle tons to make the playoffs, but you run the risk of him being burned out if the Jets do make the playoffs...Man oh man, that cloning tech can't come soon enough!
The instant we cinch the playoffs, or heck even once our magic number gets down to 1 or 2 or so, run LB the rest of the way and let Hellebuyck spend the entire time resting in a hyperbaric chamber or whatever it takes.

Ehlers came to play.
Tried watching Niku but he wasn't very visible - which is not a bad thing. Seemed to play a responsible game, defense first.

Can someone please tell me how Poolman is getting more ice time the Morrissey the last few games?
Just assine ice time distribution. The fact that Morrissey is getting very little special teams play is just stupid.

Funny enough all the advanced numbers seem to indicate that they had significantly more high dangerous chances then us. It just shows the flaw in using shot location as the basis for it. They had a lot in close but many were flubs or not close to being great chances.

Like some other advanced stats, shot location is a very rough measure of "high danger". It requires a large sample to be truly meaningful.
Doesn't make it a bad stat, but it does lead to it being misused by many who forget the importance of sample size.
Poolman should never get more ice time than Morrissey but Morrissey is making more mistakes than normal . Maybe because Poolman is his partner but Morrissey hasn't looked like Morrissey a few games this season . Poolman is playing better than i thought he would this season though .

I mean, this is kind of where a lot of people predicted the Jets would be -- middle of the pack and fighting hard for a wildcard spot. This is what makes the season exciting though, right? Not gonna be many dead games this year

Jets are total dump n chase. Have been for years under Maurice. Personally i dont think its a strength of the. Top 2 lines... More for grinding lines or teams.. Maurice seems to want our skill guys to be more Lowry ish.

It's amazing how much better the Jets have been on the road than at home , maybe trying to be too fancy at home .
Good news is that if we start playing better at home we'll probably have a good enough record to make the playoffs .
